About this listing
Whether your destination is the beautiful and charming town of Hoboken, or you simply need a less expensive place from which to commute to NYC, this is a perfect place to call your own. Enjoy the best room in the house- 15 min walk to the PATH train.
This classy, simple bedroom with queen bed, large mirror, and best of all, access to a balcony with a great view of downtown Manhattan is the perfect quiet getaway from the electric energy of the city. Come home at the end of the day to relax in a clean environment. Speakers connect to your mobile device to play music and comfy couches in the living room will make you feel right at home. The room is best enjoyed by two people- more than that is uncomfortable and a bit much for the shared bathroom.
Guests are free to use the bathroom and kitchen facilities, providing their own groceries and bath products, though toiletries are available on request (shampoo, soap, toothbrush, etc.)
I love to have people hang out in the living room to watch tv or just visit. I try to make it a peaceful place to relax.
Interaction with Guests
I am around from time to time to check on things, clean and make sure everything is running smoothly (maybe even bake a treat!). For guests who arrive in the afternoon I am usually available to greet and orient to the house, but later arrivals will most likely retrieve the key from a nearby business.
Hoboken is a quiet little town full of young urban professionals (acronym omitted) who love to go out on the town, which is about 8 blocks from my apartment. You get the best of both worlds- close to activity, but far enough away to wind down and relax.
The PATH train to NYC is roughly a 15-min walk away, towards bustling downtown Hoboken. From there you can take the train either to 33rd St (Midtown and closer to Times Square) or World Trade Center (9/11 Memorial Museum and Financial District). Coming home from a late night, if it's raining or you're too tired to walk, taxis from the PATH station to my house cost $6 plus tip and can be found lined up just to the right as you exit the station.
Smoking is allowed only outside on the balcony with proper disposal of butts expected.
Please do not use other people's bath products or supplies- keeping yours in your own room is always a good idea.
You live in the house as if it is your own, so I hope you can be comfortable while respecting it as my home.
