The ranch is magic...and close to everything! Set in an oasis of giant tropical trees with lush pastures with some of Guanacaste's most beautiful horses, it is a peaceful place to relax or be your home base for an exciting Costa Rica vacation.
The Painted Pony is a family owned working horse ranch minutes from Costa Ricas most popular Pacific beaches, 40 minutes from Liberia International airport and easy access to Costa Rica's famous volcanoes and national parks. Riders and non riders and invited to stay with us and enjoy the rich natural and cultural features of Costa Rica's horse country. Full ranch breakfast and other meals by arrangement. Drink a cup of Costa Rican coffee watching howler monkeys in the trees and horses nikkering in the pastures. We have 2 accommodations for short term or monthly rental. Casita Mandarina is a comfortable air conditioned suite with a outdoor star shower, kitchenette, 2 queen beds, wifi, cable TV and a private porch with hammock. Casa Roble is a one bedroom house that sleeps 4 with full furnishings and kitchen with private parking.
Guests will have access to the ranch and splash pool with a discount on any riding tours. Local buses pass in front of the ranch.
Interaction with Guests
We offer complete riding packages, day rides and individually designed vacation itineraries. We will assist guests arranging tours, car rental and other local activities including fiestas.
Finca Casagua is a private family owned ranch with gardens and pastures filled with tropical birds, plants and trees. Monkey often pass through the trees giving a special show.
We are close to the Liberia International airport, Tamarindo regional airport and bus lines, both public and tourist buses. We can help arrange cars and other transfers.
