Charming, contemporary 2 bedroom (sleeps four) Regency cottage with a delightful secluded garden in elegant Cheltenham. Being in the fashionable area of The Suffolks the cottage has all the advantages of walk-to restaurants, bars, the theatre and cinema.
Cheltenham is renowned as a festival town with Jazz, Music, Science, Film and the longest-running Literature Festival in the country. New this year is the Cheltenham Design Festival which was held at the Parabola Arts Centre, Cheltenham Ladies College rom in April.
Cheltenham has the added advantage of being the gateway to the charming Cotswolds, the glorious Severn and Wye valleys and the majestic Malvern Hills to the west. Shakespeare's birthplace and home of the Royal Shakespeare Company, Stratford-upon-Avon is under an hours a drive away. Hidcote, Sezincote , Snowshill and Kiftsgate are amongst many famous gardens nearby with Sudely Castle just north of the town.
The cottage has WI-Fi, TV, and all the usual amenities.
A very accommodating host. Thanks for looking after us so well. Perfect little hideaway in Cheltenham yet near everything you might need.
This property has absolutely no parking near by, not sure what you are expected to do when you go for weekend. We found Michelle to be rude and were not impressed that she charged us an extra £30 cash on arrival for allowing us to have an extra friend stay on the fooor on a blow up bed (that we provided). When asked why the website advertised no extra charge for an extra guest, she said that was because she doesn't allow extra guests, very misleading advertising!! She was very snooty indeed. She did let did check in early but when we were late due to an accident she was very rude and spoke down to us. Great cafe across the road though for breakfast.
This is simply not true as there is free parking adjacent to the cottage, a rarity in most towns.
Chantal's requests for both an extra early check in and an extra guest were both met and her friend was shown round before I had to leave for an appointment which I was almost late for as a result of Chantal being nearly an hour late.
Airbnb stays are usually in people's homes or guest accommodation and I think Chantal expected hotel service. The relationship between guest and host is based on trust and mutual respect. I don't think her review shows either.
The cottage was fabulous. It was tastefully decorated, very clean and comfortable. Michele was quick in replying to all my emails, and on arrival, she was friendly and clear in explaining how things work around the house. We really enjoyed staying at Michele's cottage over the weekend and I think it is a great location as a base for our trip around the Cotswolds. Will definitely recommend to others.
Great cottage and great host.
We booked at the last minute but very fast communication from Michele and everything was ready for our arrival. The cottage is just as it looks in the photos - simple, clean and stylish.
Ideal location for a visit to Cheltenham and the Cotswolds.
Clean and pretty home, tastefully decorated and well located in a beautiful area. Michele was prompt in all communications and the whole experience was very positive indeed.
We only stayed one Saturday night, and while the street outside was noisy, the house was so comfortable I dozed off easily enough.
No hesitation to recommend.
A lovely cottage in the pretty "Suffolks" area of Cheltenham. We only stayed for one night with our two daughters, and everything was just perfect ... clean, warm, and very comfortable ... we all slept like logs!
We also had a delicious breakfast at the Suffolk Kitchen just over the road ... also highly recommended!
Really lovely accommodation in the centre of Cheltenham. Two good sized bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen. A home from home. Michele was fantastic with the logistics of keys etc and really friendly. Would recommend.
Had a wonderful stay in Cheltenham. Thank you Michele for being a marvellous host and welcoming us so warmly.
The accommodation and location were fantastic and I will definitely recommend to family and friends in the future.
Very nice, clean and warm cottage, in the middle of a nice area of Cheltenham. The apartment has a very well-equipped kitchen. A warm, welcome and beautiful house- it was a pleasure to stay and Michele made us feel very welcome. Would definitely stay again!
Very well located - bars, cafes and restaurants are within a stones throw in distance, and the town centre only a few mins walk. The house is really nice and well maintained. Parking is slightly tricky as there are timed restrictions, but we managed to move the car from one space to another around the corner without any issues.
