We have spent 30 years loving this place: tranquility in nature, breath taking sunsets, sandy main beach, clear water and the one of a kind amazing cliffs. Adventure awaits or maybe you just need to unplug, hide away to paint or write a book. VERY RELIABLE INTERNET ALLOWS FOR WORK FROM HOME OPTION. You can not feel stressed here at "Our Neck of the Woods". We are located on a calm bay, within a 1 minute walk to the main beach.

The space
"Our Neck of the Woods" was a new cottage in the Fall, 2019. It boasts 2 FULL BATHROOMS, high end appliances, air conditioning, washer /dryer, dishwasher, BQ, outdoor fire pit, picnic table, a modern but casual, cozy atmosphere and is located in stunning Steep Rock. I would be happy to provide a desk in a quiet area for the "work at home" option. Everyone must experience Steep Rock.

"Our Neck of the Woods" is located on a quiet cottage road that offers tranquility, safety and friendliness. Dog owners are required to leash their pets.
Please be sure to keep the noise down after 11:00 pm. Our friends and neighbors appreciate that and we do too!

My husband Cal and I have had a cottage in the Steep Rock area for 30 years. Retirement allows us to spend most of our summers, spring, fall and winter during Covid at the lake. Our children, their spouses and our 5 grand children love to spend as much time as they can here as well. There are far too many favorite ways we spend our time to list them all but here are a few:
• water skiing and wake boarding
• swimming particularly on the sand bars at the main beach
• bon fires, s’mores, spectacular sunsets
• Red Cross swimming lessons
• picking saskatoons
• fishing at Elm Point & Grand Rapids
• the play grounds
• July 1 celebrations especially the children’s bike parade
• the Cliffs
• children’s movies in the Pavilion
• Pickleball
• the Hard Rock Golf Course in Steep Rock
• bald eagles, pelicans and more
• snow mobiling, ice fishing, skating and Crokicurl in the Quarry, Cross Country Skiing in the Steep Rock Beach Park and hiking the all season Hiking Trails
• the peacefulness of nature
