L’attuale edificio in origine era un rustico, destinato al ricovero di animali (stalla al pianterreno) e al deposito di fieno (tabià al piano rialzato) e come tale è stato utilizzato fino al 1966.
“Col” (colle) è il toponimo dialettale del luogo, dove nel 1948 il nonno dell’attuale proprietario, eresse questo fabbricato al servizio della propria attività agricola.
Il 6 novembre 1966, una terribile alluvione sconvolse il paesaggio e l’economia dell’intera valle. La scomparsa dei prati, sgretolò definitivamente il locale sistema agricolo fondato soprattutto sull’allevamento di bestiame. Il rustico rimase per ciò inutilizzato fino al 1974, anno in cui fu riattato ad abitazione civile e da allora fu ininterrottamente abitato fino al 2017. Nel 2018 infine, sono stati eseguiti i lavori necessari per adeguare l’edificio e le pertinenze esterne, ai moderni standard di una casa-vacanze.
Nonostante gli interventi effettuati, l’esterno mantiene ancora l’architettura del “tabià” originario, di cui sono stati conservati i muri perimetrali in pietra, l’ordito del tetto, i fori finestrati del pianterreno e la porta dell’ex stalla, con la serratura originale ancora perfettamente funzionante.
