The Space

Hi There! We have a great option for those budget minded travelers who want the experience of Costa Rica in a small house that's has great ocean views and the jungle close by. Our casita offers a queen size bed with a kitchenette and a bathroom with a shower. It has a patio and hammock to enjoy the sound of monkeys and tropical birds.

The kitchen is equipped with two burners, a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle and the necessary dishes and cutlery to make your stay easy.

The casita is situated on a 1.5 acre property, located 4.5 km from the town of Uvita. The main house is a one bedroom home that can be combined with the casita to provide two bedrooms for traveling friends.

The property has a variety of fruit trees, palms and tropical plants. Every morning the Howler monkeys visit the neighbouring jungle. Parrots, toucans and aricari's sing their song. You know you are somewhere special when the jungle speaks!

An SUV 4WD vehicle is required for access to this property - as is the case for most of Costa Rica - if you plan to explore and take all it has to offer for it's natural beauty.

Put on your flip-flops and head to the beach. If you are looking for a vacation rental in Uvita - you have found it!

Adventures guaranteed!

Interaction with Guests

Trina, our property manager lives just a few minutes away from the house. She will meet you upon your arrival to Uvita. She'll provide you with the keys and introduce you to the casita. Trina has a wealth of information to share about current local activities, festivals and general tour suggestions.

The Neighborhood

Visit Ballena Marine Park and take a walk out to the Whale's Tail during low tide. At Rancho La Merced plan a horseback ride on the beach and to local waterfalls. Charter a fishing boat for some of the most amazing off shore fishing you will ever experience! Rent an ATV and tour though the jungle,, stopping at waterfalls for a cooling swim. Take a tour to the Corcovado National Park in the Osa. Zipline, canopy walks and bird-watching tours. Oh and don't forget the surfing! Take in the skills of the locals at Playa Hermosa or Playa Dominical at sunset, then head out for a delicious dinner at one of many of the fabulous restaurants in our area.

Getting Around

Access to this property is along a beautiful jungle road. (It does have a couple of steep sections and requires a 4WD SUV. Ask us about a 20% discount on vehicle rentals that we can arrange for our guests.)

Occasional sightings of sloths, Capuchan monkeys, Howler monkeys, jagarundi's, toucans, aricari's and parrots can be taken in along the drive to the house - bound to enhance your Costa Rican adventure!

I'm a traveller, love new places, new people, new experiences. Family and friends are dear to me. So are golden retrievers.

I live a happy, healthy lifestyle. Lots of hiking, yoga, pilates and beach time.

Life is to be enjoyed! Enjoy it!
