Interaction with Guests
Ketut will be on call to answer any queries. He will call by each morning to make sure everything is ok with both you and the house.
Penestanan is becoming an incredibly popular village. Just far enough out of the town centre to get you away from the madness of Ubud Centre, but close enough to walk or scoot into town if you wish to,. There are many artisans and cute cafes etc. At ight you will often hear the Gamelon music coming form the village nearby....
Hire a scooter, walk or catch a ride with a local driver.
Other Things to Note
“Will air-conditioning be required?”
As Ubud is much cooler than the coastal areas a fan is usually sufficient for our guests. The nights are warmer from November to March.
“How do I get to/from the airport?”
We offer an airport transfer service for a fee of Rp300,000. Alternatively, you can get a taxi from the 'arrivals' bay. The journey usually takes about an hour, depending on traffic.
“Are the mosquitoes a problem in Ubud?”
Like all tropical locations, Ubud has mosquitoes (non malarial) - This differs at different times of the year. All beds have mosquito canopies and insect repellant is on hand if needed
Light Menu available for small extra fee:
*10% service charge will be added on all food service.
*You will be billed upon check-out.
We had a great time at this beautiful cottage. Everything was as described - just perfect! We would definitely booked it again.
The villa is absolutely beautiful, the pictures don't do it justice. Though a small distance out of the main centre of Ubud, one can easily walk into town as well as enjoy the peace and quiet. The local restaurants were all delicious.
I had a great stay in Ubud, Ketut was very friendly and Susan very prompt at getting back to me with information.
I'd recommend Susan's villa to anyone and hope to return myself in the not too distant future.
Thanks for having me!
Susan was a fantastic help with making arrangements for our accommodation. And Kethut warmly welcomed us to this incredible place.
What a hidden gem! It's down a lovely little laneway, alongside a river. With the beautiful pool, romantic bed and fantastic design elements - it's truly beautiful and very, very relaxing.
Would absolutely recommend it to anyone staying in Ubud.
The place was simply superb, with a fantastic vibe. It looks as good as the pictures would suggest.
Ketut was nice and helped us getting bike and drove us to the airport at 2 am in the morning (Thanks Ketut).
Don't be worried about the lack of aircon, it wasn't needed (in March anyway).
The place was away from the street so very quiet, except for what seems to be a music school operating in the evening next door. It was pretty loud but having said that it was all local instruments and it somehow added to the Bali feel.
Overall, it was great. Highly recommended.
Thank you Susan.
We felt at home in this Balinese Villa, it's location is close to cafes, super markets, spas and the Ubud town centre. Ketut arranged the hire of a scooter and we were able to navigate through the friendly streets of Ubud at our leisure. The villa offered all we could need for our one week stay, fridge, cooking equipment, fresh water, bathroom, safe, private pool and hammock in a well established garden. Soooo relaxing! We had house cleaning each day and we did our grocery shopping at the Bintang Super Market (5 min scooter ride) and found everything we needed (mosquito coil!!). Ketut was very attentive and made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. However, he could not help the unnecessary noise level of a group of younger guests in the third villa. Overall we LOVED our stay, and would return to this villa because of it's great location. We found THE BEST restaurant 5 min walk from us, Element - gorgeous food (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) by an Australian trained Chef. Can't wait to visit again!
The villa, the pool, the garden were very nice and very well managed! Ketut was kind! It was a great experience overall but low water pressure. :( If you are looking for nature-friendly place, this is it!
