Interaction with Guests
Generally I am at the house but some days and evenings I am elsewhere. I you wish you can join me for dinner most evenings.
There are buses the operate twice a day from Canberra to Cooma and there is a bus the circles the town 3 times a day. I have plenty of parking.
We had a lovely few days here. Easy hour drive to the snow fields and very cosy and warm. Easy to get to and very happy with everything Adrian provided!
We had a great time at Adrian's house. He welcomed us to his house and made sure we had everything we needed. We loved having a chat with him before he headed back up the mountain. The electric blankets were a greatly appreciated surprise as it was rather cold in Cooma. Loved waking up on Saturday morning to find 3 kangaroos in the front yard. The house has everything you need and is very cosy. Will definitely stay there again :-).
Our 8 year old son had a great time playing with Adrian's grand children's toys too!!
Thank you Adrian for a welcoming visit to your home.
We really appreciated that you were so accommodating our late arrival.
I would highly recommend you place to any future guest and will defiantly be making a return visit.
This was a great place for a quiet, relaxing couple of days away. The room was very comfortable with adequate heating. Although we didn't meet the host until the last night, the other guest/occupant was very pleasant and helpful. We were provided with everything necessary to make the stay a very pleasant one. The cottage has an interesting character.
Adrian's amazing house is in a pristine and relaxing environment - overlooking a sleepy valley yet not far from the township of Cooma. The house is large and well equipped, while the bedroom was very comfortable and warm despite the sub zero temps outside. The added bonus of a trampoline and children's toys were an absolute hit for our two small girls. Adrian was a pleasure to deal with via text and it is a shame we were unable to meet him as he seems like a generous and interesting individual. Thank you Adrian.
Adrian accepted our very last minute request and we enjoyed the time we passed in his place, although we didn't have the chance to meet him. The cottage is beautiful and a group of kangaroos welcomed us on the way home when we first arrived! It was lovely.
Adrian's place was great! Has everything you could want or need. A comfy bed, electric blanket and heater, soft pillows and fluffy Fiona for the cold winter mornings! I pretty much had the place to myself for a few days so it was a nice little getaway. Not too far to the snow and so cool to wake up to kangaroos and a wombat outside my window in the morning! Thanks Adrian, see you again soon!
About the Host, Adrian
I love to be out and about, mainly in the bush, be it walking, skiing, climbing , paddling..... or whatever. Recently I have taken up the sport of fencing.
Keeping up my fitness to do all of these things is important but I am not fanatical about any one of them.
I am self employed and contract out for a wide diversity of jobs, from optical fibre networks to gardening. I enjoy tinkering with electronics and building (website hidden) and gardening keep my busy at home and I will often cook meals just for the fun of it.
My house almost always is full of music. All types, sometime up-beat, sometimes relaxing.
I believe that sharing and helping others is important so I spend time and energy volunteering.
