About This Listing
We are listing our big, beautiful San Francisco home as a vacation rental. This is a very special home, with gorgeous details and a comfortable but spacious design.
It is only available for 2-3 weeks in December/January. Inquire for details.
It is a large (by San Francisco standards), clean and comfortable 1920's craftsman style home with two bedrooms and one bath. It has a large master bedroom and a second bedroom with a crib, or if need be a very comfortable air mattress. The kitchen is very roomy, with top of the line appliances and cooking utensils/supplies. There is a large dining room with a table that can seat 6-8, and a big living room with a working fireplace. We also have a projector that you can hook up to a laptop so you can have a cinema night while in your pajamas if you like! There is a wonderful garden with outdoor seating, we frequently enjoy grilling out, or just sipping a cup of coffee or a glass of wine when the weather is nice (which is often in our neighborhood!). The garden has a lovely fountain in it, which makes for fun early morning bird watching- there are many beautiful birds that like to come and take a bath! The bathroom contains a shower over tub and has great water pressure. The home has been well cared for and we have it cleaned weekly.
We have one sweet, loving black cat who would love to keep your company while you visit.
There is ample, permit free street parking in front of the house.
The house is kid friendly. We have many kids books and a pack and play we can offer our guests if need be.
The house is located in a safe and quiet (yet still convenient) neighborhood called Mission Terrace. It is an up and coming fun neighborhood, a walk to many delicious restaurants and coffee shops, and is easily accessible by MUNI and BART. It is two blocks from the J train and a ten minute walk to the Glen Park BART, and either of these will take you to downtown, the mission, the Haight or even Oakland or cities South of San Francisco. Some of our favorite parts of the house and neighborhood include:
-the insanely beautiful garden, right outside the door
-very convenient to public transportation
-a short walk to some very delicious restaurants, unique coffee shops and bakeries.
- a short walk to the beautiful and vast park Glen Canyon that has excellent hikes
-a quick walk to the J train and the BART, which will take you all around the city
-one of the only neighborhoods in SF that has free, easy and convenient street parking
- a full service kitchen that includes basic food supplies and complimentary breakfast items
- complimentary bottle of wonderful California wine and local fantastic coffee
- a large selection of new and older movies/TV shows on the Roku
- a large selection of San Francisco/California guidebooks for use during your stay.
No smoking indoors
The home and neighborhood provided a very nice setting for our family pre-Thanksgiving get-together. it's a quiet area with very little traffic and adequate parking.
Great house- cozy, well-kempt, lovely garden, wow stove in a great kitchen. Tavi the cat is a sweetheart. Clearly the home of people who love to be home.
Neighborhood is quiet, very residential; gentrified area around the Bart station includes gourmet market, a few decent restaurants a friendly bars. You'll need to travel if you're looking for action or culture but if you know your way around SF, this place is a perfect home base.
We had a wonderful stay at Nathalie and Paige's home and would recommend a stay here to everyone. They have a fantastic cat who is a special addition to the home (this note coming from a dog lover...) We were able to find everything by means of their clear directions, both for the stay in the house and also the surrounding area. A great experience!
