I like to spend time with my guests
Hi ! My name is Joe Ben Sanders. I am an Archaeologist and local Historian. I love this part of the country, so decided to put roots down here. As a child I lived in Tularosa, NM but as luck would have it my family had to relocate to East Texas. While I loved Texas, Tularosa was where my heart longed to be. So after graduating college I moved back here. I started an Archaeology Business, got married, had some kids and the rest is history. One of my favorite things to do is explore this New Mexico. I love the petroglyphs in this area and have studied them for over 30 years. As a young boy I walked past The Valley Lodge almost every day. So as a Man and Archaeologist I decided to refurbish this 1863 Boarding House, Hotel and private home. I live in The Valley Lodge and have decided to turn it into a Bed and Breakfast. So I hope you will enjoy your stay!
