Hi! I am a UT student who purchased a small 3 bedroom home in South Austin. It has all new appliances including washer, dryer, etc. and my sister and I live in the two rooms so we have an extra room for you to use! The room is fully furnished and the bed is queen sized. I also have a queen sized pillow top air mattress for extra people. I have high speed wireless internet and cable. I also provide clean towels and you can wash/dry clothes if you'd like. Let me know if you have any questions. :)
entire house with the exception of the master bedroom
Interaction with Guests
I tend to stay out of your way and am hardly home
it's safe, cute and quiet, yet close to all major highways, downtown, etc.
yes, downtown Austin (where most events and festivals happen) is about a 10- 15 min drive and there is a bus stop (Capital Metro) a couple of blocks away
Diana's place was lovely and just as described in the listing. She made it easy for me to check in and out. Unfortunately I was only there one night and didn't get a chance to meet Diana, but she was absolutely lovely in all communication via airbnb and text.
Diana is a sweetheart and great hostess - you can tell she has done this before. She was accommodating in every way, providing every thing I needed, and more.
My stay was excellent. Great communication, and the room was nice ! Also, the location was very convenient -- close to both the airport and downtown.
Although I never saw Diana, the house was exactly as described and there were treats left out for us when we arrived. She was super friendly and easy to communicate with. We had a great weekend in Austin!
Diana was a good communicator! The bedroom was clean and even had a mini- fridge with some drinks and snacks- very welcoming- however the bathroom was not clean and although her 'House Rules' said we could adjust the temperature we couldn't get it cool enough for us, although it was programmed so maybe it was operator error- There wasn't a TaV but we didn't ask ahead of time so- it was fine because what liatetle down te we had we read. Her dog is cute and we didn't have assssny problems with her. It was an okay stay - we were practically there all weekend by ourselves as she and her roommate were a sàbusy. Thank you.
Diana was a fantastic host. She provided a very private lodging experience and was responsive to our requests.
Diana is terrific. She left a nice note to welcome me to her home with a print out of top 25 things to do in Austin. My room had a mini fridge that she stocked with breakfast items and a basket full of toiletries. We didnt actually meet until the morning I left but she was gracious and charming. I felt most welcome.
The neighborhood is quiet and clean. Downtown Austin is just 15 mins or so away. All and all a great place to stay.
And I cant leave out my favorite part of staying at Dianas....hanging with her dog Yoshi! A most endearing pet. I had a lot of trouble leaving her and seriously considered putting her in my suitcase.
I love to travel and explore and have done everything from running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain to jumping off cliffs in northern Brazil. Since I am a traveler, I know what it takes to be a great host. I hope you let me host you and let me make mi casa su casa! (see what I did there) ;)
