  • My wife, daughter and I spent our first two weeks in Melbourne at the Lodge & Pool, Inner City. Location is great and the people very kind and helpful.
I highly recommend to stay here whereas while touring or as new migrants like us.

  • If you are happy with a very basic room with a well shared bathroom then this place is should suit. The exterior of the p[lace looked like a rertal property with the front lawn unmowed for months and pretty messy overall. The room I had was right next to the bathroom. Soundproofing is non existent!.Seems it has only one even though the write up mentioned 2.5 bathrooms. If dogs worry you ..you may want to pass, their large family dog stands guard at the door and although friendly, her bark may intimidate some. Asked for a glass was handed a plastic one. I had to search the cupboards to find a rather thread bear low quality towel. Doesn't compare to other places I have stayed on AirBNB. Close to Glen Iris shopping centre on the positive side... Not my cup of tea..but horses for courses.

  • My stay with Eu Gene was nice. The house was beautiful. It's too bad I didn't exchange with the hosts as they were busy. My bedroom was right next to the bathroom ( we all used the same bathroom) and it was pretty loud at night up until 11 or later.
There was a couple staying in the other bedroom but we didn't see each other much. Everyone seemed to keep it to themselves.

  • We stayed at Romney Lodge for 2 nights. The room has a lot of privacy and (website hidden) Gene and family are friendly and helpful. We travelled in a car which we were able to park safely. There is access to the living space and their massive kitchen with complete facilities. Overall our stay with Eu Gene and family complemented our much enjoyed time in Melbourne.

  • My mate Simon and I enjoyed the stay at Eu Gene's and Corine's place very much! From the beginning they were very nice to us and gave us much advice what to do in Melbourne or they gave us a lift to the beach e.g. A good connection between their place and the CBD by bus or train makes it easy to have some party nights in the city centre. If you love cooking their big kitchen would be a paradise for you.
So Simon and I definitely recommend their place, don't hesitate to book it!

About
Hi there! My family and I love the life in Melbourne, from the amazing restaurants and lovely suburbs to the fusion of different cultures in this hub and artistic experiences. Most of the time we are having fun bringing our little toddler girl around Melbourne and letting her loose to explore. We hope that everyone who visits here are taken away with this city as we are. See you soon. :)
