We had a fun time staying in the yurt! Unfortunately, we didn't get to meet Beth & Tim but they kindly provided us directions when we couldn't find our way. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed taking evening walks. We didn't know that the yurt had limited power, so on the second night we lost electricity and water. It would have been great to get a heads up about that ahead of time.
Very much enjoyed a few quiet days at the yurt. Didn't explore the whole farm but met some friendly dogs, pigs, chickens, horses, kittens, and a goat.
Great place to stay for hiking Minnewaska State Park, which is a short drive from the farm. Hit up Mountain Brauhaus for a post-hike meal. Bring a flashlight if you plan on getting back to the farm after dark.
Didn't meet Beth, but Tim was courteous and helpful.
Very easy drive from NYC -- New Paltz is convenient for lunch.
Would definitely stay again.
Thanks for the wonderful stay at the solar-powered yurt! The accommodations were lovely if a bit warm—the yurt's very well insulated, probably perfect for the fall months—and we had a nice time hanging out with the very friendly horses. Tim and Beth also provided directions to a great swimming hole!
The yurt was a sweet home for us for a few days. We really appreciated the fresh air, peace and quiet and wonderful accommodations.
Unfortunately we didn't meet Beth, but Tim was helpful and informative and also nonintrusive. We were especially appreciative that he allowed us to charge our electric car at night so that we didn't have to leave our car in town for hours to charge.
The area is beautiful - we could have stayed longer and hope to come back!
Oh, and being in a yurt in a lightening storm is quite dramatic and lovely!
My 5 friends and I had a great time at the Yurt. We loved petting the various animals and hosting two adorable kittens in the yurt. Beth and Tim have created a welcoming and comfortable space.
Fully enjoyed our time at the yurt! Was wonderfully relaxing to return to after a day of hiking at Mohonk. The space was beautiful and met all of our needs. Will be making a return trip!
