The room is cozy and a comfortable size for 2 people, however a fold out bed can also be provided for an extra guest or child upon request.
I work from home, so guests who enjoy exploring the city & being out during the day are preferred. In the evening I enjoy company and sharing a glass of wine and conversation, however if guests feel the need for privacy they are welcome to spend time or watch TV in the privacy of their room.
No Smoking or Pets allowed.
Candice is exactly the kind of person you would hope was your host. Gracious, intelligent, accommodating, knowledgeable, and kind. One day we asked, "Where can we find the best Indian food?" Out came a stack of saved menus of all nearby Indian restaurants that make front-door deliveries. Another day we asked, "Where can we find the best coffee?" "Well, are you looking for pure quality, or do you want a good place to sit down with a nice atmosphere?" was her response.
Then there are nights where, over a glass of wine or a beer, she'll debate the existence of free will, and you'll know you've found an enlightened individual.
The apartment is well-kept and spacious. We had a hard time leaving it every day at the crack of dawn.
We will undoubtedly return at the nearest opportunity that presents itself.
The apartment was like described very spacious and in a perfect location in the neighborhood of the Flatiron building. The yellow line is only 2 minutes away and the green one can also be reached by foot. These two lines are perfect if you want to explore Manhattan from south to north. Our host Candice welcomed us very warm and friendly and had some helpful advice for us. We could also use the very spacious living room if we wanted. Unfortunately, there are two minor points I want to mention. The first one is only my very personal opinion but I had the feeling that some cleaning, especially of the floors, could have been done in advance of our arrival. The second point is that it was very loud in the room, you could hear the noise from the street outside very clear. But all in all it was a nice stay at Candice’s home.
Candice was a great host, made me feel like home. Great location and comfi room
I really enjoyed staying at Candice's place. She welcomed us upon arrival and showed us around. She was very accommodating and we felt very welcomed. She also provided us with some great suggestions on where to eat or grab a drink. The location was perfect if you want to do all of the touristy things. It was very central and close to the subway. There is also plenty of things nearby. There was construction going on across the street when we were there so it could get a bit noisy, but it didn't bother us too much. I think noise is just a part of being in the city unless you stay in one of the quieter neighborhoods.
I stayed at Candice's flat for three nights and have never been made more welcome in NYC. Candice is truly considerate and thoughtful of her guest's particular needs. Almost everything about my stay was perfect. I stayed in the small room upstairs and the only consideration was that there was some mild street noise at night on the weekend – but that is to be expected in the city ! Earplugs resolved the issue easily. Thank-you again for everything, Candice !
Candice is always warm and welcoming, with great suggestion of where to go in the city. You can't beat the location! Excited to come back :)

I am an Interior Designer & Event Planner. I love to entertain and make my guests feel welcome.
My place is a cozy, home-like atmosphere that is kid friendly, although the place is not toddler proof
so it is more suited to older kids.
