Our cozy, glamping school bus offers a unique, but very comfortable accommodation all year round (except freezing temperatures).

The schoolie features bamboo flooring, a very comfortable queen-sized mattress along with all the essentials, including 2 convection hot plates, toaster oven, magic bullet and a small fridge with a freezer.

There is a moveable desk and a comfy loveseat facing the ocean view. There is room for a young child to sleep on the loveseat. Note: ceiling height is 5’10”.

The space
This bright, converted school bus is nestled in nature, surrounded by breathtaking forest and ocean views.

Inside, you’ll find a queen-size bed with generous built-in storage beneath, a comfortable couch for relaxing, and abundant additional storage throughout to keep your space organized. The fully equipped kitchen makes meal preparation easy, while both a wood-burning stove and an electric oil-filled heater keep the space warm and inviting in cooler months. High-speed WiFi allows you to stay connected while still feeling immersed in nature.

Set in a private, secluded area near a moss-covered rock outcrop, the bus offers both privacy and reliable connectivity.

The bathroom features a sit-down shower with a private window that brings in natural light, along with a Nature’s Head composting toilet.

A unique stay that blends comfort, functionality, and a deep connection to the surrounding landscape.

NOTE: Guests staying less than a week are required to bring their own queen-sized sheets. We provide the pillows and duvet as well as towels, dishwashing cloths and drying towels. Please bring your own bedding for a child if they will be sleeping on the couch.

Guest access
This listing offers a fully private indoor space along with a secluded outdoor area designed for relaxation and connection with nature.

Set on 10 peaceful acres, the property invites you to unwind among the forest, a serene pond, a seasonal waterfall, a blooming orchard, and a loop walking trail. Multiple outdoor gathering spaces create opportunities to slow down, read, or simply take in the quiet surroundings.

Several fire pits are available throughout the property for cozy evenings under the stars, subject to local fire regulations and permitted season during your stay.

Other things to note
Ceiling height is about 5’10”.

We have a well behaved family dog, who might be out and about. She is trained to not approach the school bus plateau - but if you'd like to interact with her, you're welcome to approach her.

Neighborhood highlights

We live in a gorgeous semi-rural area halfway between Sechelt and Madeira Park, both of which are only 20 minutes away by car. We are up on a mountain with wonderful views of the ocean, islands, and Vancouver Island. Properties on our street are all 10 acres in size.

In addition to this listing, we have a luxury tent trailer nestled in the woods, a glamping wall tent, with a large, private deck, an RV with a large private deck and an ocean view, a semi off-grid micro cabin in the woods and several furnished campsites, all on decks with picnic tables.

We are developing the property for permaculture and have so far built a greenhouse, planted a lavender garden with several varieties, cleared and planted a small orchard, created several small ponds, excavated a large pond, landscaped a recreational area and built a very productive raised bed garden area. We raise laying hens and rabbits.

We are walking distance to trailheads, including Homesite Creek, with beautiful waterfalls.
