The Space

Location: five minutes to Sonoma Plaza and Glen Ellen, five-ten minutes to nearest wineries, ten minutes to Kenwood, less than an hour to San Francisco, fourty minutes to Napa, Bodega Bay beach, Healdsburgh, Sausalito or Tiburon. Here is what one of our guests wrote in his review: "...and preferred the charming low-key Sonoma Valley wineries we visited when compared to the industrial scale that is Napa Valley these days. If we did it again, we would spend all our time in the Sonoma/Kenwood/Healdsburgh corridor and skip Napa altogether, for which this house location is absolutely ideal".

Our place is privately nested in the hills of Sonoma Valley on half acre lot.

New in 2006 our custom-built house offers great comfort and privacy. This is a 2-story house with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, full kitchen, spacious living room with fireplace, laundry, private decks with panoramic views.

•Master bedroom with King-size bed, master bathroom (2 sinks, shower for 2), private deck;
•Guest bedroom with Queen-size bed, bathroom (2 sinks, tub);
•Home office with sleeping sofa for 2 and a futon bed (three guests all together);
•Spacious living room with big plasma TV, fireplace, dining area for 8;
•Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher;
•Laundry room with washer & dryer;
•Large deck with outdoor furniture and grill;

Additional features: Cable TV, Wi-Fi.

We welcome families with kids. No charge for kids under 6 years.

Our Neighborhood

Our property is located in beautiful Sonoma Valley – the heart of California Wine Country. We are close to Napa Valley, Healdsburg and Russian River wine region. San Francisco and Pacific Coast beaches are just 1 hour drive away.

Sonoma is a great place for a family vacation or a romantic getaway!

•Wine Country: visit California’s best wineries, restaurants, spas and natural hot springs pools;

•Great outdoors: hiking in state parks, mountain biking & cycling, river rafting, hot air ballooning, exploring Pacific Coast & deep water fishing and more;

•Country living at its best: buy fresh fruits at local farmers markets, join community pick nicks on historical Sonoma Plaza and visit organic farms.

Other Things to Note

There are plenty of wineries everywhere for every taste and price. My favorites are Ledson, Landmark, Bartholomeo, Benziger, Gloria Ferrer, Gundlach Bundshu and Chateau St. Jean. I recommend to take a Benziger Partner Estate tour which provides full access to behind-the-scenes tour of the vineyards, a look at the entire estate, and a private wine tasting. Check (website hidden) for details.
Very close to the Benziger winery is Jack London state park, another interesting place where you can learn many unknown facts from the life of Jack London, take a walk in the woods, or go for an easy hiking.

Where to eat:
The closest restaurant is Sante at The Fairmont Sonoma Mission. It is in a walking distance, very good but quite expensive. All others are around the Sonoma Plaza (2 miles away from us). My favorites are Della Santina's Trattoria (Italian), The Girl and the Fig, Taste of Himalayas (Indian - Pakistan), Red Grape Trattoria (Best Pizza ever), and Sunflower Cafe.
Please make your reservations in advance.
There are two Michelin Guide awarded restaurants in Yountville (40 min drive): The French Laundry and Bouchon with famous Thomas Keller as owner and chef. They are exceptionally good.
