Spacious Comfortable Room - NE Bend

House - Private room · NE Dempsey Dr, Bend, OR 97701, United States

The Space

Large private room with comfy queen sized bed, small bathroom with shower, air conditioning, cable tv, wi-fi, mini fridge, coffee/tea and private entrance. Cozy and warm, decorated with Oregon photography and earth-tone colors.

Well behaved dogs that get along with other dogs are welcome. We have a female black lab mix named Lacey. So they MUST get along and be well behaved.

We have a fenced in yard with a spacious patio with chairs to sit in on the sunny side of the house.

Our house is in a pretty quiet, safe, older (1960's) Bend neighborhood with big trees and wide streets. There are two parks within a five minute walk, one being an off leash dog park. We are located approximately 7 minutes from downtown Bend, 10-12 minutes to the west side and about 40 minutes to Mt Bachelor and the many recreational activities that Central Oregon has to offer. A cab ride from downtown to our house is approximately $15 with tip. Riding a bicycle in this area is supported by bike lanes on the main roads.

We are lovers of Bend and are happy to share our knowledge of the area with you. We are mountain bikers, kayakers, canoe-ers, campers, hikers, off-road motorcyclers and fishers! So, we love to talk about the great areas around here to do all of those things :)

Airport transportation can be arranged for a fee. We are flexible people and would love to make your experience here in Bend a great one! Let us know how we can assist you.

  • Leslie was friendly and the room was nice and clean. It has its own thermostat and ceiling fan, which is great. I wouldn't recommend it for tall people as the shower head is quite low.

  • I really loved staying here. It was an amazing room, with a private entrance. I really appreciated the snacks and guide book Lesley left for us. It was much nicer than a hotel for half the price. I would definitely stay here again.

  • Lesley is the perfect hostess. A very quiet neighborhood in a beautiful city. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Thanks - it was perfect.

  • My stay was perfect! The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Laundry, tea, coffee, snacks and an attached bathroom with a wonderfully hot shower. Lesley was ALWAYS available for tips, recommendations, offered to help with purchasing computer...way beyod the call of duty. The house is in a quiet family type neighborhood abut a 5 minute drive from all points of interest. Would definately stay here again. She also has the sweetest dogs and a great backard to hang out in.

  • Lesley's place is just totally awesome! Super cozy, with everything you need. Love the little details - the coffee maker, teas, candles, list of activities in the area. Lesley and her partner are super friendly and I'll definitely be coming back.

  • Lesley's place blows the other AirBnB places I've stayed out of the water. The room is large, as described, and somehow manages to be both spotlessly clean and wonderfully cozy. My boyfriend and I were passing through on a road trip, but we wished we could have stayed longer. Lesley was a great hostess, the dogs were fun to have around, and Bend itself is a great destination. If you're lucky enough to see this room available on a night you're going to Bend, book it!

  • Once in a while you meet people you immediately like the second you first talk to them. Lesley is one of these people. Drinking a beer on her back porch, talking about everything from travelling to sports to music was simply awesome and one of the real perks of using Airbnb when travelling.

Beyond her laid-back, fun and friendly personality, Lesley is a great host and her place is really nice: super-clean (and I have high standards) and comfortable with some nice little gimmicks like your own coffee-maker or shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom. Nice bed and towels, too!

I now wish I had planned to stay longer to explore Bend a little more, it's a cool city with a lot of outdoor opportunities I feel I kind of missed. One thing's for sure: Next time I'll go back, I'll definitely stay with Lesley again.

  • Great host. Great accommodations. Thank you for your welcoming hospitality!

  • Very comfy room! Lesley is totally nice and the location wasn't too far from downtown. The small details were great - from a coffeemaker in the room to snacks, and having a washer and dryer available! We and our dog were very comfortable and Lesley's two dogs were super sweet and friendly. We'll definitely be staying here again for our next trip to Bend.

About
So, I grew up in Maine, spent some time in the mountains of Colorado, went to college in Florida, summered in Ocracoke North Carolina, spent a year in the North End of Boston, moved to Truckee California... then landed here in Bend Oregon about 9 years ago. Phew! Life is awesome :) I am a graphic designer and marketing director - sometimes I work from home and sometimes I go to the office. I like a flexible work life so that I can do all of the other things that I love to do. I think that camping is a favorite of mine... in my VW Westfalia, with my dog Lacey and my best friend Mitch. I am a big fan of the summers here in Central Oregon as I am more of a summer sport enthusiast than a winter sport's girl. All though I will put the downhills on occasionally :) A couple years ago, a friend told me about airbnb.com because we were getting ready for a great summer of travel. We ended up at the coolest cottage in Juneau and a beautiful house in Winthrop, MA (just outside of Boston). I was SOLD! I came home plotting how I could get involved with this fun lifestyle. So, here I am enjoying people in my own house right here in Bend!
