I recently acquired a new 1250 sq. ft. art studio and am looking forward to sharing the space with individuals who are looking for a unique place to hang their hat and enjoy the city. There is a semi private loft space/ bedroom, lounge, kitchenette and full bath available. The property is minutes away from downtown, Zilker park, south congress and many sought after restaurants and entertainment but tucked away from traffic in one of the few artist communities left in Austin.

The space
Monday thru Friday, 10- 4pm my team (composed of 1 marketing assistant and 2 interns) and I are working at the large wooded table located at the front of the studio. I will paint at the back end of the studio. The bedroom is in an open loft that is blocked from the front of the studio with a walled storage closet. If you're a late sleeper and need a bedroom door to shut, then we are not the space for you. The space is best suited for a traveler that is looking for a place to hang his/her hat, be in a central location, and get the inside scoop of what it's like to be inside an art studio.

Guest access
A code will be provided for keyless entry.

There is a multitude of amazing parks, coffee shops, restaurants within minutes of the space. Patika is one of my favorite coffee shops, Dolce Neve (gelato- addictive), Loro (asian bbq), Kerbey Lane (best pancakes you will ever try), El Tacorrido (drive thru authentic tacos and coffee shops), Thai Fresh, Bouldin' Creek Cafe (100% Vegetarian), Cafe No Se, soco shopping... the list goes on and on.

I am a full time visual artist specializing in large scale abstract art. I absolutely love living in Austin and chose to move here once we became pregnant with our now 6 year old daughter. I grew up in CT and lived my twenties in NYC, where I met my husband and baby daddy. Although I do miss the abundance of sushi on every corner, world class shopping and energizing hustle, there is no place in the world I'd rather be than here in Austin with my family. I'm a foodie- that occasionally loves to cook, I enjoy the arts in all genres and try to catch as many shows as possible... we are in fact in the live music capital of the world and I love meeting new people and making my guest feel welcomed.

During your stay
I am available to answer questions, offer recommendations if needed, but ultimately am working. We will be respectful and keep noise to a minimum when we are there at the same time. But I do plan on only keeping day hours at the studio when I have guests and leaving the evenings for y'all to enjoy yourselves. However, there is no guarantee on this if I have a commission deadline approaching and must be in the studio so in that case it would only be me in space.
This arrangement isn't for everyone, but could definitely work out fantastically with the right guests. Staying in my studio is more than a unique experience but you're also supporting the arts and small business. :)
