We have a recently remodeled guest suite in a very desirable and safe neighborhood of Burbank, California called Magnolia Park. It is the half of my house that is without a kitchen.
Magnolia Park is a special section of Burbank (Zip code: 91506). The bike friendly neighborhood, vintage shops, tree lined streets and abundant restaurants make this a great place to stay. The new Burbank Branch Library (26,000 square feet) and large adjacent Lincoln Park are 12 houses away.
We are within a 3-mile radius of Disney Studios, NBC Studios, Warner Bros Studios, Nickelodeon Studios, and Universal Studios and Citywalk. Bob Hope/ Burbank Airport is less than 3 miles away. Providence /St. Joseph Medical Center and the Burbank Equestrian Center are less than a mile. A little over a mile away is Griffith Park, a large municipal park at the eastern end of the Santa Monica Mountains. The park covers 4,310 acres of land, making it one of the largest urban parks in North America.
The Private Suite features:
- Private entry and section off of main house
- Personal spacious bathroom (not shared)
- 1 double bed, 1 twin bed
- Fresh linens
- Hardwood floors in both bedrooms
- Free WIFI
- Microwave oven
- Brand new small refrigerator
- Toaster oven
- One room features deep full length shelving from floor to ....ceiling- great storage
- Plenty of free street parking
- One block from public transportation
Neighboring cities are Glendale, Pasadena, Studio City, Hollywood, North Hollywood, and West Hollywood is only 6 miles away.
Rate of $85/ night, single occupancy. Price is already discounted and no further discounts will be offered.
- $14 extra for addl. person (max 3 adults).
- Minimum 3 nights stay
The suite is quiet and private. We are onsite daily and available if the guest has specific needs, but find that letting the guest ask for interaction is best.
The neighborhood dates to the 1930's, and has lots of trees and a family atmosphere. Warmer and drier than most of the US, but pack sweaters and wool socks in the winter. The three local parks within walking distance are worth checking out, the closest is 10 houses away, and is next to the new library.
Public transportation is available at a short walk, and the information is readily available via the internet. Street parking is always available directly in front of or near the front of our home. Observe the street cleaning signs so you don't get a ticket! Burbank/Bob Hope airport is 5 minutes away, most folks cab, but my family and I walk.

Great times!!! Stayed with my 2 girls and 3 dogs!! Quite street close to all.. Very clean!
We found the place as it was described in the profile, communication with Jeff was easy and clear:
I reccomend this place, really confortable and in a very good position.
We really enjoyed the holydays!
As always, it was nice peaceful stay. Everything is close, the neighborhood is peaceful and it was nice to leave the craziness of LA behind when you get home.
We stayed for a week and it was great. Jeff is very accommodating and responds very quickly to phone calls, so if you need anything, he'll get right on it!
The neighborhood is great! Very close to stores and I felt safe being there.
Our stay at Jeff's house was all we expected it to be. Jeff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and all the linens, towels, etc. were freshly laundered. The place has a homey feel to it, not like your standard Best Western sameness. The location is perfect for doing things in the L.A. area. Magnolia is just a couple of blocks away with lots of interesting little shops and places to eat. I highly recommend Porto's Bakery for one. There's plenty of street parking, and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. If you want a comfortable, reasonably priced place to stay in the heart of the movie industry, definitely stay at Jeff's place. We'll do so again sometime in the future.
I travel to LA every 6 weeks and wanted a safe quiet place, Jeff's place was it. Clean, comfortable and in a nice neighborhood. Jeff was out of town but set up all the resources that I would need just in case I had an issue that needed addressing.
Everything a tourist would want is made available and you must do yourself a favor and take a walk down his street at dusk and look at the canopy of trees that line either side of the street. They merge above the street and the sun hits them just right at dusk to make for a very peaceful stroll.
The guest suite is comfortable and in a great location. Very quiet neighborhood. A lot of shelves, which our cat enjoyed exploring. Could hardly hear the noises from the other side of the house, except that kids are gonna be kids, but it wasn't a problem.
Jeff was great! The place is exactly as depicted in the post. It is close quarters, and the walls are thin so you can hear everything in the suite next to you. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom is spacious. If you're looking for a nice, quiet place to stay, this is it.
Jeff is great and communicative. Space is great for the price. The suite is attached to the main house, but it's not accessible from the main house, so it's no different from being in an apartment.
I stayed for two weeks at Jeff´s place and was very comfortable. Jeff is an extremely hospitable host, always helpful, respectful and the place was clean and just as described. A very good experience indeed! Thanks, Jeff!
