About this listing
A tastefully furnished period house (built around 1900), in a quiet cul-de-sac, two miles from the city centre.
There are two bedrooms available, each suitable for one or two people. Groups of four can be accommodated - there is a listing for each of the rooms - similar photographs - and groups of four can be accommodated by booking both listings. Each room has a king size bed- which is exceptionally comfortable. The rooms are spacious and very calm - ideal for relaxation and rest. All the furniture is period, but the room has a nice modern feel to it. They've both got lovely linens, and plenty of fresh towels.
Two bus routes serve the main road, which is just around the corner from the house - the 16 bus from Dublin Airport (the journey takes about 50 minutes) is one of the routes. and the same bus runs only 10 minutes to the City Centre.
The City Centre (Grafton Street - Trinity College) is a 20min to a half hour walk from the house. Historic Dublin - St. Patrick's Cathedral, Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin Castle, Chester Beatty Library, National Gallery, are all within easy reach - either by bus route or walking.
I am involved with the Dublin International Piano Competition - an event that takes place every three years - so I'm deeply involved in offering stellar hospitality to international travellers and how to showcase the best that Dublin has to offer. I'm very aware of the standard and level of the comfort that people need while they're staying.
I offer breakfast - muesli, yoghurt, fresh homemade Irish brown bread, croissants, tea and coffee.
The sheltered sunny garden is a calm and restful place to have breakfast on a warm morning. One of the bedrooms looks over the garden.
I also have an information pack on Dublin, including map, city guide and information on day trips to Glendalough, Galway and the Cliffs of Moher, Cork, and Belfast.
I am delighted to help any guests to plan their days in Dublin, and if they are travelling to the rest of Ireland, I can also offer advice and assistance.
Hair dryer / Docking station / WiFi / on street visitor parking.
I would ask guests to be mindful of the security of the house - to ensure that the hall door is double locked when leaving the house, and the door should also be double locked at night.
If you open any windows, please close them before leaving the house.
Smoking is not permitted inside the house - if you wish to smoke, please do so in the garden. Food is not permitted in the bedrooms.
Please refrain from putting luggage on the beds - a luggage rack is provided in the bedrooms.
This is my home, I enjoy and I hope you will too.
Adrienne was wonderful and incredibly welcoming ... We loved the hospitality and would recommend this listing to anyone....
Adrienne is the best host you could wish for! She is friendly, helpful & very kind - I felt immediately at home. She went out of her way to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The room was lovely - private, comfortable & neat. The location is ideal, situated in a beautiful, quiet neighbourhood with a bus stop a few meters from the house. There are various stores & restaurants within walking distance & the centre of town is a short bus ride away. I can definitely recommend this listing & will stay with Adrienne again next time I visit Dublin.
Adrienne was very welcoming and pleasant as a host. Her home is beautiful and well presented. Located in a beautiful part of Dublin, central to all amenities.
We had a really good time staying with Adrienne. The room was nice and private. Adrienne is a lovely person and she made us feel welcomed from the beginning and she also collected us from the bus station. She helped us with information about what to see and do in Dublin and where to go to eat and how to get around and she also dropped us to the tour bus stop when there was a bus strike. She provided us with a map and written information about buses. The location is great, is pretty close to the city center with a close by bus stop and the back yard is amazing. Thank you Adrienne for everything!
Staying with Adrienne was a wonderful experience. Not only did she upgrade me to the Mews house, but she insisted on collecting me from the train station! This is what I call going above and beyond!
The Mews house is a beautiful, spacious apartment with everything you might need - including breakfast. The location is superb, the bus stop is just around the corner and Rathmines village has plenty of shops, restaurants and take-aways. I highly recommend Adrienne and her listings!
Thank you Adrienne, you truly are the hostess with the mostess!
Excellent. Clean, nicely decorated AirBnB, friendly host and tasty breakfast. Thanks Adrienne !
Adrienne is just a lovely host. She made me feel very welcome. It was very nice to chat with her. The room I stayed in was really nice and the bed very comfortable. Further the accommodation was very clean. Adrienne offered me various things for breakfast including brown bread, homemade yogurt, granola and fruit. The area is just nice too and there's a very good public transport link. At the same time it is close enough to walk into the city. The two nights I spent at Adrienne's house were a very pleasant experience and I'd definitely stay again when I am around Dublin.
