Interaction with Guests
If you're visiting from somewhere else, please bring a post card!
Most interactions will be me coming to check mail, at the laundry, out in the yard, and I'll check on house status. I live in the floor below.
There are lots of cool ethnic places to eat, and great shopping, there's really everything you need in the area. I really like how central, and convenient everything is located, close to the airports, and Manhattan.
The neighborhood is really safe, many females stay here alone, and never have any issues, even arriving late on the subway.
On Lonely Planet’s list "the top 10 American destinations primed for a visit in 2015," they crowned Queens with the #1 spot.
Queens borough is "quickly becoming its hippest, but most travelers haven't clued in... yet." They credit microbreweries, new boutique hotels, and the art scene amongst its qualities, and note that the borough has "a truly global food culture" (it's true, we've even traveled in the pouring rain for some dumplings in Flushing).
63Rd Drive Rego Park station (M,R) is located 3 blocks away from here. Parking can be difficult. Both LGA, and JFK are very easy to get here. There is one bus that comes from LGA (Q72) straight to a mall 3 blocks away, and JFK is easy through the AirTrain.
There's WIFI at the station, so if you don't have a cell phone, you can contact me when you arrive. NYC Metro works 24/7

Eddie was a fantastic host. He was available and helpful but not intrusive during our stay. We were thrilled that he let us park in the driveway as parking is tricky in the area. We also really appreciated the use of the washer and dryer in the basement. The setup was great for anyone traveling with a child as one of the bedrooms is in the back and away from the main living space. Our stay was very relaxing and we felt very comfortable in the space.
I really enjoyed staying at the Eddie's home. I had a very pleasant week there. Despite recommendations from previous guests, I had been worried about the safety to come home at night alone, but I had no problems with it. The subway is near the house and the streets around are safe and bustling with good shops open late. The house is comfortable and it's in a very quiet residential street. Eddie is a very nice person and a great host. He offered me towels, sheets, soap and shampoo, and he always be concerned if I need anything else. I will recommend Eddie's house for nice people.
Eddie is very kind, friendly, easy-going person. I stayed to Eddie's house with my husband for 10 days. Room is large, clean, quiet and cozy. The neighborhood is safe and also quiet. Eddie's house is close to the subway station. There are shopping mall and lot kind of restaurant and supermarket and drugstore (24 hour available).
I really enjoy the stay in NY thanks to Eddie's hospitality. He gave me a lot of advice to enjoy NY.
When I back to NY, I really want to stay Eddie's house again!
Comfortable and flexible. Eddie is a nice and friendly guy. Without his kind help, I might have to wander around in my first days in New York! The house is no doubt as well as the photos and descriptions, and even more, if you look at the photos closely, it's actually a big room having fine wooden floor and a big window! Besides Rego park and the area are safe and convenient to go. Recommend!
Eddie was teriffic. Very welcoming and helpful. Forgot my electric shaver upon leaving and Eddie was nice enough to ship it back to me. Awesome! I would definitely recommend his place to my friends.
Eddie is a great host, helpful and easy-going. He has introduced to me many interesting spots/restaurants/museums, etc. His place is between JFK airport and Manhattan and it's very convenient. The room is special with a lot of light. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, with easy public transportation.
Eddie's place was fantastic! It's in a great location, close to LaGuardia and the subway. He was away for a lot of my stay but when I did see him he was a very helpful host and I felt very at home. The room is a good size and is very clean and light. There's a 24-hour organic shop nearby which is very convenient for pretty much anything you could want. His dad and best friend were over a little bit just checking on the house and they were very friendly and cool.
Anyone coming to NYC check this place out!

Native New Yorker. I'm an easy going person, and I like to enjoy life.
I train martial arts as a way of life, amateur interior decorator, enjoy hiking, riding bicycles, and shopping at thrift stores. I believe in sustaining our environment, and I support that lifestyle.
I love traveling all over the world. Chiang Mai, Florianopolis, Boracay, Kyoto, Barcelona, and Laikipia are some of the coolest places I've been to. I like meeting people from all over the world to learn about new culture, and languages. I always enjoy introducing guests to my favorite places to eat, and hang out.
I think I'm a good host, because I travel a lot, and I get to see how hosts interact with their guests. I've met some amazing people while traveling, and I wish to duplicate that feeling with my guests.
