Freshly remodeled, comfortable 1 bedroom apartment in a great location for hiking, working or relaxing! Comfortably fits two guests and is conveniently located on a quiet street near CU, just 2 blocks to the beautiful Flatiron Mountains of Boulder!
Our bright one bedroom apartment is freshly remodeled and comfortably furnished. Outside stairs lead to your private garden level apartment with a relaxing patio and separate entrance. Our beautiful established neighborhood is quiet and conveniently located near CU, NIST and the Flatirons!
The space consists of a living-dining-kitchen combo and a separate bedroom. The newly remodeled open kitchen area is well equipped with a full size refrigerator/freezer, microwave oven, hot plate, electric kettle, coffee pot and toaster. The kitchen does not have an oven.
The bedroom has a comfortable full size pillow top bed and two closets with plenty of storage. Two windows help it feel homey and bright, and is also decked with room darkening shades.
The living area has a comfortable chair, dining set, good lighting and a small sofa. The sofa does convert into a small bed, but is probably best suited for a child when an extra bed is needed.
The apartment and patio have high speed wireless internet. The private patio is a lovely place to eat or relax, and late spring through early fall are especially nice.
The house is ideally located for all that Boulder has to offer. Hiking trails, Chautauqua Park, CU campus, coffee shops and a market are just minutes by foot. Downtown Boulder is walk-able, but we are very close to the bus stop as well!
Dining and shopping options in Boulder are unique, locally owned and wonderful. Restaurants and markets cater to organic and natural choices. You'll love the atmosphere and wish you could stay much longer!
Boulder is all about hiking, bicycling and fitness. Check The Neighborhood section below for more information regarding activities and our location.
The space is suitable for 1 or 2 people or couple with a young child. The space might be too tight for 3 adults and approval will be needed.
The private entrance to the apartment is accessed through our garden and down about 12 stairs. The apartment has above ground windows. Street parking is available free at our house.
WiFi is available throughout the house and patio. Printing is available by request. The apartment does not have a television.
The kitchen has plenty of dishware and equipment for simple meal preparation.
Use of the laundry is convenient to the apartment and there is a two dollar charge per load.
The apartment is not handicap accessible.
Interaction with Guests
We love helping our guests get settled and get ready to enjoy their stay in Boulder. We value your privacy but are happy to offer suggestions for restaurants and activities! Please ask. We love to be helpful.
We bet you'll be outside enjoying Boulder as much as we do so we may not see much of you. Just text or call any time!
We are minutes walking distance from University of Colorado, and as well as NIST, NCAR and NOA.
Wonderful hiking trails are nearly out our front door in Boulder’s Open Space/Mountain Parks system. Hiking is literally 2 blocks up the street. The University of Colorado and Chautauqua National Historic Landmark are within 5 minutes walking distance.
Just 5 blocks down the street is a convenient shopping area with a nice Whole Foods Express full line grocery market. The shopping area also includes a yoga studio, a Trek bicycle store which rents bikes by the day or week, several fast food shops and nice restaurants, an ATM, a Starbuck’s, and a comfortable, and a locally-owned Brewing Market coffee shop.
It’s a quick bus ride or a nice 1.5 mile walk to Boulder’s Pearl Street pedestrian mall where there's great shopping, dining, people-watching, etc.
It’s only a ten minute walk from our house to CU where there are museums, art galleries, dance productions, indoor and outdoor stage productions, concerts, lectures, planetarium shows, libraries, movies, film festivals, author readings, a bowling alley, athletic events, and more.
Walk a few blocks from our house and you can access the City of Boulder’s Open Space & Mountain Parks trails. The entire Boulder trail system has at least 130 miles of trails, including 48 miles of mountain biking trails.
Walk or bus about a mile up to 9th and Baseline Streets to enjoy more hiking, picnicking, and a playground at the 100-year old Chautauqua Dining Hall and Auditorium. Chautauqua performances, entertainment and lectures are for all ages and feature ranger-led talks and walks at the Colorado Chautauqua National Historic Landmark and nearby trails.
Boulder is a great place to walk and bike, and public buses are convenient to our house. Public buses are safe and easy all around Boulder, between Boulder and downtown Denver, and between Boulder and the Denver International Airport (DIA).
We often use the RTD buses since it's only a five-block/ 8 minute walk from our house to a major bus stop at Baseline Road and Broadway St. There are buses to downtown Boulder every ten minutes.
The SkyRide from DIA to our bus stop costs about $13.00 each way (exact cash is required) and takes a little more than an hour.
You can also ride the RTD to get to and from the Eldora Mountain Ski Resort for downhill or Nordic skiing during the ski season!
Maximum of three guests.
Have a great time in Boulder!
loved our stay, we hung around the nice back yard and listened to the crickets in the night. we enjoyed the hand picked apples which were aplenty.
David and Audrey stood aside and let us enjoy the space as if our own.
David and Audrey are great hosts. My parents stayed at their apartment and had a very pleasant visit. Thank you also to David and Audrey for accommodating them on such short notice.
We really enjoyed our visit! at David and Audrey's place! Everything is just as advertised - very . The room was very quiet and comfortable, even on hot Summer days. Having a yard area was a big plus. I would certainly return.
We enjoyed a lot staying at Audrey's and Dave's house. They are good and very friendly hosts. The appartment was clean and fully equipped. The area is silent and is closely located to mountains, university, NIST, NCAR, Whole Foods shop, restaurants and bars. There is very convenient bus connection to downtown as well.
Conclusion: we would book another stay with Audrey and Dave in Boulder in the future.
David and Audrey were wonderful hosts! The neighborhood is peaceful and close to many things we were looking to do in Boulder, like hiking, shopping and restaurants. The part of the house we stayed in was clean and perfect for our needs. David and Audrey were also helpful in sharing advice on their favorite trails to hike or places to go, and were accomodating. We had a great time!
This apartment was fantastic. Exactly what we needed. David was very helpful. He really made us feel very welcome and did everything he could to make our stay in Boulder a pleasant one. We stayed there with our 1.5 year old son and he had a fantastic time too :)
David W's rental is clean, quiet, and well-located in a residential neighborhood, close to the university.
The kitchen is adequately equipped, the double bed, comfortable, and the storage, plentiful.
There is a pleasant private patio right outside the door.
David is there if you need him and when you do, he's reliable.
We enjoyed our stay and will come again.

Hi! We’re David and Audrey, and we’d like to welcome you to our home!
David has lived here in Boulder for over 20 years and loves sharing all his insight into what to do in and around Boulder. Audrey is newer to Boulder but enthusiastically shares her love for Boulder as well. If you need recommendations on a place to hike, bike, eat or shop, we’re glad to help!
We share our home with Dave's adult son Charlie and a very friendly indoor Siamese cat, Cholla.
We'd say we are geeky homebodies, but we love the active lifestyle here in Colorado and enjoy Boulder in all ways possible. We love travel, espresso, games and puzzles, volleyball, and the arts! Welcome to Boulder!
