This island not only offers holidays in a hinterland spread by rice fields on the volcanic slopes that are likely to be still active. There are vacation resorts on the most beautiful white sand beaches of the South as well as 5 star hotels in Bali. At the same time, the island offers water sports and sea activities such as snorkeling, surfing, diving, swimming, fishing among others.
However, the essential interest of a holiday in Bali remains within the scope and pace of life that has nothing to do with our lives going at a fast pace giving us no time to enjoy the small wonders of life. Thus, with its vast beaches of the Indian Ocean, Bali remains a major destination for those wishing to explore new horizons.

I stayed at this house for a couple of nights, but in the end decided to stay in the centre of Ubud with my friends.
The house itself is simple and everything is there. Franks communication was good and so was that of their caretaker, who came and met me with my taxi driver and gave me the keys.
The house is quite out of the way, certainly not in any touristy area! It is also surrounded by other houses in a village, which is of course, normal for Bali. And there are chickens next door who make a bit of noise, but again, this is normal for Bali too!
The host was very helpful and tried to do his best to support us. We had exchanged a lot of emails before I decided to stay here. He was always quisk in response. He was kind enought to find me a maid and gave me a lot of information how to obtain organic food in Bali.
There were two houses at the same location. I used only one house with kitchen and a large livingroom as only the bed in larger house had a mosquitonet. The bed was large enough for me to sleep with two kids.
I loved the flowers in the garden. We enjoyed the outdoor living space with a couch. The couches inside the larger house under the windows were very useful and relaxing too.
The electricity, gas and internet were not included. You'd better ask him how to deal with these things when you arrive there.
You need a car or bike to go to Ubud. The village was very small and the local people were very kind. You can experience the real Balinese life if you make friends with them. We visited almost all houses in the village in one month!
Thank you Frank for your understanding and support. We will come back here again!
