"Beautiful View's"- are seen and observed throughout the neighborhood and streets in the Central Gardens District. Memphis is indeed a beauty. The Midtown area is filled with the cities best and most diverse restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, shopping, nightlife, parks, jogging/biking trails, arts and entertainment.

A wonderful and extraordinarily cozy stay in central Memphis. Cheryl was a fantastic host not only in person/via communication but also through all the thoughtful touches that populate the space: with city guides, up to date weekly papers and a few well chosen snacks we were able to quickly hit the ground running. One of the best AirBNB's out there!
This cottage was a perfect fit for our weekend in Memphis. It's in a great neighborhood, close to many restaurants, shopping, and parks. Cheryl is very friendly and gracious host. The cottage was stocked full of all amenities you would need. There are many books, magazines, flyers, and cozy area for relaxing. The yard and pool are beautiful, although we didn't use it because of the snow and cold weather. If you want to stay in this area, then this is the place to stay. We loved it! Thanks Cheryl!
From entering into the driveway of the beautiful property, to the ambiance of the cottage itself, the stay was a top notch experience with airbnb. Cheryl knows how to make a guest comfortable and offer the many things that make a traveler be able to to stay away from home in style. Though cooking was minimal, Cheryl offered fruit, snacks a microwave and fridge that were well stocked.
I was there during a very cold week in Memphis, I can only imagine how great this place would be if you could enjoy the grounds and the pool!
Cheryl was a perfect host. I'd like to keep this place a secret.
Cheryl was so hospitable! When we arrived late on a Friday night she was lighting little tea light candles in the unit for us and had a vase of fresh cut red roses (it was Valentines Day weekend). We were shocked to find fresh fruit and a number of snacks also waiting for us. The coach house was spectacular - SO cozy. We really felt at home here. The bed was super comfortable and the living room area was a great spot to relax after a long day of touring. The neighborhood is a beautiful, historic area and very close to restaurants and bars in mid-town and just a short drive to get downtown and to Beale Street. We loved it here.
My stay in the cottage was everything that I expected and more. It is a very clean, comfortable and inviting little place. The host Cheryl is very warm, gracious and welcoming. She went above and beyond to insure that my stay with her was a special one. The property feels very safe, secure and private. The pool is also very pretty and has a babbling little fountain. The neighborhood has lovely, older, stately homes and is convenient to downtown and most area attractions. I would highly recommend the cottage to my friends and would stay there again.
Cheryl greeted my husband and I with a warm smile and bouquets of fresh flowers. She took us in last minute and took time to tell us about her rich city. The neighborhood is far enough from downtown to be a retreat, but close enough to get there with ease.
We will definitely book with Cheryl when visiting in the future.
Overall feedback (public):
Our hostess was wonderful! We felt at home from the moment we arrived. It was as though we were long lost friends and that we were truly welcome. The house was beautifully decorated yet cozy and inviting. They provided snacks, beverages and other amenities that were outstanding! The bed was comfortable and we felt refreshed every morning. Our hostess was also available to answer any questions we had about Memphis and offered directions to the sites we wanted to see. The location was truly 15 minutes from EVERYWHERE!
Hi! I have been a Memphis resident since 1989. Growing up in my younger years I had a wonderful childhood in Colorado and then moved to Florida when I was twelve. So, I've had the best of two completely different worlds of which, I enjoyed very much. I have also had two opportunities to go over seas and experience Europe which were truly "divine and delightful" experiences! I transferred here in college when my parents had decided to move to Memphis. I loved the "big city" and the population of "people." I also thoroughly enjoyed all of the "beautiful houses and residences/neighborhoods" that ran thru Mid-town and the surrounding areas. I had never seen such beautiful homes both old and new that showered the city that I now call "my home." It is ironic that I ended up living on one of the oldest historical and most beautiful streets in Memphis. People enjoy walking up and down this street, looking at all of the different homes with a wide variety of styles and architecture. Most all of the tree's that line the boulevard are over one hundred years old. At certain times of the year, the median and streets are covered in an array of multiple and beautiful colors which truly is spectacular to witness. When I was in nursing school, I remember that I use to jog and ride my bike up and down "Belvedere Blvd" and wonder what type of people lived in these big and magnificent beautiful houses. When I got engaged, my husband to be was in the process of purchasing this home I currently live in and became the nickname "Belvedere." He pulled up in front of it and proposed to me right there in front of the house that I was to live in my entire life (thus far) in Memphis.
I would describe myself as fun, laid back, hard working, and possibly bohemian, but most of all I "love" people. I am most at home when I have a house full of people. I love coffee and good conversation. I respect peoples privacy but love doing little things for visitors/guests. I am new to all this B&B but I am absolutely sure that I'm going to love it and look forward to meeting people from all over the world!
My parents have lived in England and Germany (where I was born) and have travelled extensively all over Europe when I was young. Therefore, I get to thank my dear sweet mother for giving all three of her girls a wide and developed pallet of all different types of international cuisine that we got to experience growing up. I also love to cook. My favorite foods are Thai and Indian.
I have two motto's for me in this life..."Carpe Diem," and "To Thine Own Self Be True." I am spiritual, loving, kind, and compassionate. I respect all religions. We all come from the One True Source which is God. I believe God exists within all of us and is found within our hearts. I love nature. I also love animals. I am a nurse, but currently do respiratory sales and distribution. I also am a licensed massage therapist. I love life and meeting new and interesting people.
I guess that is enough about me. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Good luck in your travels. Be safe. Namaste.
