Centretown Ottawa is unquestionably the place to be in Ottawa. It is a vibrant, multicultural neighbourhood in the centre of the city, with easy access to Parliament, Byward Market, uOttawa, and most downtown government buildings.
The neighbourhood has a plenthora of cool, quirky coffee shops, tantalizing restaurants, especially along Bank street, and is close to the sights and sounds of Little Italy and China Town.
The studio is located very near a major transit route for Ottawa. Bank Street features a number of busses that can take you pretty much anywhere. It’s easy to get to and from the studio by bus, and the city is very navigable on foot or cycle.
There’s short-term visitor parking in the building, and Budget Rent-a-Car is located directly adjacent the building, so you can rent a car for the day and easily explore the beauty offered by the Gatineau Hills, Old Chelsea, and even Wakefield.
Other Things to Note
We only accept stays of six months or more.
Cleaning is not provided during the stay, and guests are required to take care of all their needs, including putting garbage in the garbage room, dealing with recycling, and all the other normal things that one does when at home.
The building takes security very seriously, so if you plan on renting, you’ll have to consult and sign on to all their stipulations. This includes never letting anyone in the building unless they show you their fob.
Due to allergies of some of our guests, we don't permit pets or smoking in the apartment or on the balcony.
There’s a detailed house manual that provides everything you need to know about the studio that will be provided to you in advance of your stay.
I had a fantastic stay at Reggie & Tolga’s studio apartment. The space is welcoming, beautifully decorated, and in a great neighborhood. I appreciated all the small touches they thought of to make sure guests have a comfortable stay. The building is conveniently located to many attractions, restaurants, and bars – everything was a short walk away. Tolga & Reggie were extremely accommodating and helpful; prompt at answering any questions, and sending courtesy emails to make sure I was enjoying my stay.
Loved my week-long stay here. Reggie and Tolga were very accommodating of my schedule, helped with advice on navigating Ottawa, and were always available when I had a question or a need. I would definitely stay here again!
Stayed here for a week in January. The location is excellent, within walking distance of main attractions in Ottawa. Had no trouble whatsoever during my stay; the house guide Reggie & Tolga provided was excellent, and Tolga was also kind enough to suggest some restaurants I might like to visit. I can only recommend!
We stayed there four night jan 14-18. The place is very comfortable, nicely decorated, clean. We really appreciated to be able to have our breakfast without going out - coffee, bread , jam , ect. was provided. Locations is great - many good restaurants in the neighborhood. Regie&Tolga are great hosts!
Upon arrival Reggie and Tolga were easy to contact and responded in a timely manner. Their guide that was provided answered all the necessary questions and was very useful.
The studio was comfortable and met all of my needs. The studio looks exactly like the pictures. It also is in a prime location by Chinatown, a block away from Bank St. with tons of restaurants. The apartment and area were quiet. Downtown was only less than a 10 minute drive away with a bus route available right outside the apartment's intersection.
During my stay, I was able to do some cooking and laundry as all the necessary supplies were made readily available (pots, pants, coffee, tea, toast, butter, oil, jam, detergent, bleach etc).
Reggie and Tolga checked in a few times during the week to ensure that all my needs were met and I was enjoying my stay. I would without a doubt, stay again in their studio and recommended it to my friends and family! It has been a pleasure!
Reggie & Tolga were both fantastic. They are so welcoming and genuinely thoughtful that my stay was wonderful. From checking to see how I had settled in to showing concern that someone, not used to the cold weather, was properly prepared for the snow, these two gentlemen could not have been more helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Ottawa, not only are the hosts fantastic the place itself is a lovely place with your comfort in mind, it is also within easy walking distance of many of the sights around Ottawa.
I really enjoyed staying at this studio. The other reviews were right about the space - it was larger than I expected! Reggie and Tolga were great about communicating, checking in with me the first day I arrived to be sure everything was as expected. In addition to some breakfast items, they have filled this airbnb with lots of helpful things - sharp knives to cook with, tea accoutrements, aluminum foil, and extra shampoo/conditioner in case I had forgotten mine. They had really thought out what travelers may need.
As an artist, my hours are later in the day than most, so I appreciated that the curtains blocked out most light. The nespresso machine was down for my visit, so I mostly drank tea while in Ottawa (they provided three options!) instead of using the french press. And all the logistics of where to arrive and how to find the place were crystal clear.
The only thing about this studio I hadn't expected were condo-related. Construction was taking place right outside my window all week, as they were taking down a large stone garden structure in preparation for winter. They also had an all-day fire alarm testing one of the days, but Reggie and Tolga reimbursed me for that night of my stay! Again, they were truly considerate and great people. The next time I visit Ottawa, I hope to be able to stay at their place again.
