The small valley offers wild and untouched mountain nature. The cabin is very simple with a good dose of charm! This is an old sturgeon where the family used to live all summer and brought the animals to the mountains, so here's a lot of history in the walls! Come and experience the mountain world, far from traffic jam and rush, lower shoulders and pulse. Feel free to stay a week with us! Head out for a walk or just stay "at home" and enjoy the view and life on the move!

The space
Smålsvegen 1451.

Although the roaring, when it comes to milking, is over this setra, fortunately there are grazing animals to see in the area! You can meet both cows and sheep as well as reindeer. Animals are nice to look at and thrive best if they are left alone. On the other hand, on Helin tradition is still maintained and a few noises are passed that are still in operation on a trip to Smådalen.

Here at the cabin there is no TV, but radio and unique views! It's yatsi, a deck of cards and a small pile of old protective magazines. In addition, the cottage is located in a great trip ldorado, in other words everything is designed for memorable days with the whole family!
By the way, have you heard of the Cave Hill? He was a rascal of a thief who escaped from the sheriff and hid in several places in the mountains, the story can be read in front of the fireplace when the sun has set. The next day, it may tempt you to visit the "Cave Backstone," the hideout he used when he drove through Smådalen. It is said that all the treasures he has hidden away are still in the area...
this, as well as other hiking tips are ready for you at the cabin, welcome!

The cabin is of simple standard and consists of: entrance, kitchen, living room and bedroom. A total of 6 beds.
In the bedroom is a double bed, a single bed and a bunk bed. In the living room is a sofa bed. (If desired, there is room for two on the regular sofa, so there are a total of 8 beds. This is only for particularly interested as the sofa is neither wide nor soft.)

Here there is solar cell, which contributes to evening light/reading light inside. As well as outdoor lights at the entrance door, wooden bowls/shed and at the outdoor door. There is a gas stove with a flare and a frying oven in the kitchen. Inlaid summer water. Drinking water can be obtained in "Storliåni" approximately 1.3 - 1.4 km from the noise.
In the entrance stands a small gas refrigerator. There are also shelves for storing dry goods etc.
In the living room and bedrooms there is a fireplace that both warms well and provides a cozy atmosphere on chilly nights.

There is a shower with an outdoor toilet and a separate wooden bowl/shed.

The plot is spacious and fenced, flattening is established on the south and north sides with tables and benches.

Bring sleeping bags or bedding, towels, tea lights/candles/matches, toilet paper/paper towels, charcoal, and similar consumables. At brought or purchased in the cabin, NOK 100,- per 60 litre bag. All the laundry equipment is in the cabin.

Feel free to reach out for a chat around details and trip tips! Mention can be made of everything from low threshold trips to Hulabakksteinen, Vabakkadn, Øynadn and Hallingstein to somewhat more challenging trips into Hestebotten, Jørungilknappen and Hydalsrova. If you take on a bigger challenge, Rankonøse, Ranastönge and Grindafjellet are trips you will never forget. There's something here for everyone!
On the dirt roads there are endless bicycle possibilities. There are nice rounds such as by the neighbouring municipality Vestre Slidre and back via Helin which you pass on a trip into Smådalen.
More fishing opportunities, fishing licenses are sold in the river as well as in Horse Bottom. Here you can pay with cash or Vipps (on the small valley mountain where there is a mobile signal, seek out Smådalen Sameie or vippnr 537736).
Fresh views can dip in mirrorless mountain waters and the view is amazing wherever you go.
