There are 2 seperate suites for rent. These are not connected but both open up to a large, private terrace surrounded by gardens.

Relax and enjoy the charms of downtown Mystic. Located on the historic property of Captain William Morgan, an 18th century sea captain, this private Carriage House is situated just a 1/4 block from downtown, in the heart of Mystic, but also quiet & secluded.

The larger suite sleeps 3 with a king bed and smaller full size futon. The smaller suite has a king bed.

The space
I am fortunate to have a large double lot in the historic neighborhood of downtown Mystic. You can walk everywhere, a car is not necessary. An array of great restaurants, shops , marinas and pubs are just down the street. The Mystic River runs one street behind my house. Kayaking, paddle boarding and various cruises are fun options. If you just want to relax at the Carriage House, my yard is beautifully landscaped and gardens abound.

Next door on a separate lot is the Captain Morgan House. This sleeps up to ten. For larger groups renting both the Carriage House and Capt. Morgan House is a great option.

I would be happy to arrange a special welcoming basket to suit your needs upon your arrival. Please phone ahead to discuss this with me. Various themes could include birthday, anniversary, engagement, girls weekend away, etc. I am also happy to stock your refrigerator... just ask. Arrangements can be made to have a deluxe continental breakfast basket brought to your door in the morning. Again, please arrange this ahead of time.

Year Round Activities....: Mystic is lively not only during to summer but YEAR ROUND.... I decorate the Carriage House seasonally to create a wonderful atmosphere. My various getaway packages reflect the different holiday moods and include many activities such as the Holiday Shopping Stroll & Mystic Seaports 'Lantern Light Tour' in December....'Haunted Happenings' in October, winery tours, etc. I have many suggestions and I love to celebrate the holidays! Most of the activities are within walking distance from the Carriage House. Please call me to discuss the options.

Other things to note
Please park in front of the Carriage House so that 3 cars can fit. If you have a visitor during your stay make sure they park on the street ( not a problem). Also, make sure they know to come to the Carriage House, not the Captain Morgan House next door.

Neighborhood highlights

The Mystic Amtrak train station is a ten minute walk from the Carriage House. The closest airport is TF Green in Providence, about 35 minutes away. Uber, Lyft, and taxis are available.

There are many great beaches close by. My favorites are Napatree Point and Watch Hill in Westerly Rhode Island and Blue Shutters in Charlestown RI. For a local quick dip Esker Point Beach in Groton Long Point is a 5 minute drive.

HI, Thank you for you inquiry. A little bit about myself...I have been in the vacation rental business since 2002. I love my job as I am able to interact with people from all over the world. My college background in art and graphic design has blended well with the development of my properties. I own the Carriage House at 26 Pearl Street and the Captain Morgan House which is next door. Both may be rented for larger parties. I manage the Mystic Arbor Cottage which is just around the corner from my main house. I also manage the Waterside Cottage which is in the seaside village of Noank, a five minute drive from Mystic. I’m happy to address any questions you might have to make your stay perfect!
