typical creative berlin living...
an apartment between traditional and modern,
Lots of space and stylish place to venture out into the berlin lifestyle.
the apartment is on the mezzanine floor and you don t need to climb too many flights of stairs.
near oranienburger tor u can easily walk to hackescher markt and friedrichstraße. it s only 30 m from torstraße which is a street where u can experience how fast and fascinating the berlin scene is developing as more and more fine restaurants, galleries, project spaces and shops are opening on this street.
Really close and around the apartment are many shops, galleries, many museums, art galleries, cafes, restaurants and nice small, fancy and alternative fashion stores with up to date collections.
Mitte is big!... But this apartment is centrally located in Mitte, and yet... you don't need to worry about youngsters staying in the many hostels being loud and drunk in front of the apartment.
I am living in the same street, just a couple of houses away... and love it.
beautiful Prenzlauer Berg with its wonderful stores and cafes and flea markets is very close... i go there every sunday.
i sometimes do guided tours to help a friend with his company... i am happy to tell you about nice places to go to and what you shouldn't miss.
many trains and busses run here that go to most places in berlin
Friedrichstraße (S-Bahn to Potsdammer Platz, Kurfürsten Damm,…, U6)
Hauptbahnhof(Berlin Central Station is very close to the apartment cab ride 5euros- "kurzstrecke")
Nordbahnhof(S-bahn to Potsdammer Platz)
/Karl-Marx-Allee 8 min
/Kreuzberg(Kottbusser Tor, Schlesisches Tor) 14min,
/Potsdammer Platz 6 min
/prenzlauer berg (kastanienallee) 5min
/Friedrichshain(Warschauer) 15 min
/ICC Convention Centre: 22min by metro
/a bus (TXL) goes to airport Tegel about 35 min.
please be considerate with your neighbours,
especially after 9 pm.
people here need to work, and go on with their daily lives. so no partying inside the apartment
do not smoke inside the apartment or building complex.
and please do not leave bottles and trash behind on the floor or tables...
Daniel's place was very big, clean and very comfortable. Large rooms with enough bed space for a big group (there was a group of us five guys) and an especially large and clean bathroom and kitchen. Its very quiet and safe at night since the area has a ton of families living.
The location was surprisingly central and was within a 20 minute walk from major tourist attractions like Tiergarten, Brandenburg Tor, etc. Not to mention pubs, eateries and a couple supermarkets within a 2-3min walk.
When we arrived we asked a couple questions about reasonably priced food around the area, and he took the time to describe many of the nearby places which we got to try and agree, and agree it was pretty good.
He suggested a quaint but lovely coffeeshop nearby called Osloer Cafe, where we had breakfast pretty much everyday (try the brownies). Would definitely like to stay in the same area if I were to visit again.
We were very happy staying in Daniel's apartment which is very spacious and warm, even though the weather was cold. I was a bit anxious about sleeping in the platform bed, but there was an alternative sofa bed that Daniel made up for us. He was very helpful making sure that we had the right configuration of beds and he also gave us lots of useful information about the area. The apartment is clean, well-equipped and we had everything we needed for our stay. The location is great - close to good public transport and within walking distance of many Berlin sites such as the New Synagogue and Alexanderplatz.
Super Unterkunft, groß und sauber. Übergabe war schnell und unkompliziert und Daniel war jederzeit bei Fragen zu erreichen.
Wir kommen gerne wieder.
We arrived late at night thanks to EasyJet's bizarre schedule, but Daniel met us and spent a long while showing us the flat and explaining the neighborhood. The flat is very large; we hardly ever even walked into the living room because we had so much other space to work with! There are lots of places to sit, work (which both my friend and I had to do), and relax. The flat is a short walk both to the U-Bahn station on Oranienburgstraße and the Nordbahnhof.
In terms of setup, it's pretty basic; this is not a place to come to if you are longing to be pampered. But it is comfortable, clean, warm, quiet, and as I said before, very well located. I spent a couple of days walking into Prenzlauerberg from the flat and up into Wedding; Berlin remains a work in progress and a fascinating place to be.
The apartment is great with heaps of room. Shower has good temperature and pressure. Location was pretty good. Heating in the apartment is great also. Most of the beds were comfortable. Ground floor makes it easy to get into.
Daniel was a nice host. The apartment is located in a very nice neighbourhood. Walking distance from lots of nice restaurants, coffee places and stores. The apartment is extremely roomy and very clean. The interior is very basic but sufficient. Definitely good value for your money.
