We had a great time staying at Vladas. We had the apartment for four people and there was plenty of space and privacy. Vlada provided breakfast for us and the public transportation to New York City is very convenient.
It was great staying at Vlada's place! Very easy to go to New York with public transport, we spend 3 great days visiting New York! Thanks a lot!
Vlada is very sweet. The apartment we stayed in was perfect and so comfortable.
We really enjoyed staying here! Vlada made us feel welcome by thinking of so many ammenities. In the fully equipped kitchen, she provided small provisions of milk and some fresh fruit as well as spices including sugar. It was great to have such things. The neighborhood was excellent both for quiet and proximity to the railway station. The back garden is pretty and private. Vlada and her spouse were very kind to be available but honor our privacy. In the apartment were maps and brochures about NYC and local attractions. The stairway access provided a way in and out of the apartment so that we never encountered other people. There is also a fire escape from the apartment, which was consoling. Because the apartment is on the 3rd floor there are plenty of steps. Bear that in mind if that presents a physical problem. We look forward to returning and really were satisfied with our experience.
My husband, toddler, and red golden retriever rented Vlada's 3rd floor apartment for 3 months while my husband attended an internship in the vicinity.
Vlada was very helpful and quick to respond during the booking process and throughout our stay. She gave us a thorough tour of the apartment. She even had cereal, milk, and crackers for us - very thoughtful!
Vlada, her husband, Eugene, and her son, Phil were all kind, responsive, and helpful. They were wonderful about giving us privacy, but available if we ever needed anything. The accommodations are indeed quaint, well-sized, and fully furnished.
The neighborhood is clean, safe, and very conveniently located near the light rail, so getting to and from NYC is simple. Also a short, ~10 minute, walk away is the beautiful and expansive Branch Brook Park. We all loved it, especially our dog. If you're there during mid-April try and catch the Cherry Blossom Festival.
This is the place that my family could stay cozy and spacious. Vlada and Eugene made us comfortable and always asked us "anything else that I can help you?" Definitely we will stay again when go back to NYC.
Vlada was very nice, accommodating and welcoming, especially when I locked myself out of the apartment and she had to let me back in. She even let us check in early and had apples and cereal ready for us. The apartment was very cozy but fit the four of us comfortably. The cherry blossom park a few blocks away was a nice plus.
