About This Listing
For years, Raul and I have been super happy in this apartment. Two years ago little Lola was born and we had to move. Now we are thrilled to think what happy people will stay.
The best thing about it it's certainly that is in the historic center, within walking distance of new Carmen Thyssen Museum and 5 minutes from the Picasso Museum, the Picasso Foundation, Calle Larios, the Cathedral .... and only 15 minutes (walking) to the beach!
- One bedroom with king size bed (1'60x2 meters) and a closet.
- Living room with comfortable sofa (not sofa-bed but more than once friends slept on it!)
- Kitchen with everything you need for cooking (microwave, refrigerator, etc ...) and a washer-dryer machine.
- Bathroom with bathtub.
- Air conditioning hot-cool.
- Two very nice balconies (one in the bedroom and one in the bedroom) to give plenty of light into the house.
- ADSL internet
The livingroom is decorated with sheets by a superb illustrator friend of ours. If you like any, you can take them very, very cheapie!
It is well connected (from the center there are line buses to all points of Malaga and you can also walk to the bus station and train station) and the area has absolutely everything (shops, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, the Central Market, etc..).
It's a semi-pedestrian street only allowed for residents cars so no cars on the street.
Check-in and check-out times are flexible, we just ask that if there's some other guest checking in/out the same day and schedules are incompatible, please check in-out at about (phone number hidden).
Cristina and Raul were great hosts, who quickly responded to all our communication. Their apartment is clean and comfortable. It was in the perfect location to stroll around Malaga! Thank you :)
Christine and Raul apartments is a great place! We had a very good holidays in Malaga. Flat is so wonderful, like our home. It according photos and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Located in the heart of the old town of Malaga, next to shops, restaurants, 10 minutes to the central market.
It was a noisy in the center of Malaga, thats why we closed windows for night.
The guys were always ready to answer all our questions and helped in every task! Thank you very much!
We had a fantastic time staying here - Cristina and Raul could not have been better hosts and the location is excellent, basically in the centre and close to the beach, shops and sights! From there we popped out for great tapas (we used Raul's recommendations) tours of the Picasso museum and Pompidou center and the buzzing nightlife, all just a few minutes away.
Couldn't fault it and we plan to stay again!
Our stay at Christina&Ruals apartment was great! The apartment was everything we were looking for and a lot more. The location of the apartment is very central and is walking distance to a lot of the city. They were great hosts and very accommodating they made us feel very welcome and at home! Thanks again :)
Our stay in Malaga was so much fun!
The apartment is right in the middle of the action - there are plenty of affordable, foreigner-friendly restaurants just down the street. The beach is a pleasant 20-minute walk away, and the Alcazaba is even closer. Also nearby are Picasso's birthplace, a museum of musical instruments, and several magnificent churches. Our favorite destination was the Central Market.
The apartment itself is on a street that doesn't allow cars, which helps to keep the noise level down. There are two separate keys needed to get back in the building, so don't only take one with you when you go, thinking that it is a spare!
The internet works well and the shower had good pressure (although sometimes we ran out of hot water). The kitchen is nice and we were able to cook a few meals there to keep costs low.
A few things to note: the mattress is a little uncomfortable and there are a lot of mosquitoes that will fly in when you keep the doors open, especially in evening hours. (We ended up purchasing a small, plug-in mosquito repellent from a local grocery store.)
Cristina and Raul are very easy to get in touch with and were extremely helpful. They answered all of our questions and gave us some excellent recommendations. We would recommend this location!
The apartment was just as described and couldn't be in a better location to really feel like you are part of the city with shops bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Before we arrived communication with Christina was excellent. She came back promptly and she answered a couple of extra questions we had. She was extremely helpful and flexible around arrival and departure times. Raul met us at the apartment and gave us some good tips and brought us some milk and snacks as we arrived on a bank holiday when most of the shops were closed. (Which was really kind of him) There was extra bed linen plenty of towels, including ones you could take to the beach and a full length mirror and hairdryer in the bathroom. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and a small bath. Plenty of shampoo, Sun cream etc if you don't remember your own. We didn't use the kitchen at all but if you want to cook the facilities are fine. There's so many good value restaurants though we didn't bother. Also there is a small sitting room and tv but again we didn't need to use these at all. Over the Bank holiday weekend the bar opposite was very busy and the noise does carry so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper or go and join the party! There was no problem on the weekday nights. All in all we had a great few days and the apartment makes a perfect central base for a couple wanting to explore Malaga particularly if you don't have transport.
