Born in Colima, on account of my mom being from Santiago, I grew up in New Jersey with family. I spent summers in Mexico as a child and now make an annual trip with my husband to visit family and my parents who spend several months there.
Our homes offer onsite support thanks to our full-time gardner and maid as well as family.
We love our trips to Mexico. It's a reminder of my culture - plus it doesn't hurt that I get a break from the brutal north-east winters!
Santiago is a far cry from the hustle of larger cities like Mexico City or the commercialism of Cancun. It's a spectacular balance between old Mexico (daily coconuts and limes from the backyard, iguana abound, and the fisherman huts down the way with the days catch) and new (Walmart and Burger King are down the road!).
We enjoy fresh food, warm sun, relaxing poolside or beachfront drinks, long walks, good reads on the hammock and much more during our visits.
We invite you to share in this rejuvenating experience and make your own memories.
