  • Had a great stay at the cabin! Isabel helped make the stay even better. I would recommend anyone staying at this cozy cabin! The location was great, the cabin itself was great, just a great experience all the way around.

  • We had a beautiful stay in this absolutely gorgeous and very well maintained cabin... Had a lot of fun, the landscape is amazing and we were treated like kings... Wished we could have stayed longer... Definitely worth visiting and for a looong trip inside the wilderness of Colorado. Hopefully we'll come back again soon.

  • We enjoyed the cabin very much. It is spacious, clean, and comfortable. Our comfort was assured with ample kitchen supplies, toiletries, linens, and good books. The porch overlooking the pines and aspens offered quiet and relaxation. We also enjoyed the seclusion.
Our host was warm and friendly in all her communications. Thanks to her putting us in touch with someone in the know about local hiking, we had a cool hike up to scenic Red Lake.
Thanks for a restful and lovely stay.

  • The cabin in the woods is lovely. The mountain air was cool and the night was absolutely silent except for the sound of the river below. We cooked our own dinner and breakfast, but meals are available at the nearby Conejos Ranch.

  • My husband, son and I really enjoyed our stay at Isabel's cabin. We were looking for a couple of days of peace and quiet, which is exactly what we got. The cabin was really comfortable, and Isabel was a great host - very hospitable and extremely responsive.

  • My wife and I really enjoyed our stay in this cabin. It was cozy and secluded, just like what we wanted. It has a full kitchen with all the utensils and cookware we needed to eat at home (there really isn't much to "go out" to around, anyway).

It was extremely quiet and dark at night, perfect for resting. The fireplace works well to heat the living room, and we used it extensively.

Random: the water pressure was great, and Netflix streamed fine over their wifi (though it did bounce between SD and HD for us). There is no TV, probably a good thing, so bring a laptop or something to read if you're not planning to be out exploring the area all day. There are many dirt roads to explore if you're into that. For starters, check out Fdr 101 Rd to Hidden Lake, just a few miles East.

I was born in Brooklyn, raised in Argentina first, then Kansas, and have lived in Missouri, Iowa, and Texas before setting in Alamosa. I've lived in Colorado for 11 years and think that Southern Colorado is the most beautiful spot in the whole state. I'm married with two kids, both in college. My husband and I enjoy traveling, movies, reading, great food and good friends. I love to host people in my home and over the years we have had four foreign exchange students from Peru, South Korea, and Turkmenistan. We keep in close touch with them. My travels have taken me to Patagonia, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, South Korea, Spain, France, Italy, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and most of the fifty United States. My favorite city in the world is NYC, second only to Barcelona. I grew up speaking Spanish in Argentina and have some fluency both written and spoken. I also speak some French. My goal is to create a wonderful travel experience for someone else, and to make them comfortable and happy in my home. Let me know if there is anything I can do to make your experience wonderful.
