We were first-time tourists to Mexico, so we had a lot to learn but didn't want to spend our vacation time figuring things out and solving problems. Before our stay, Nancy emailed responses and gave us detailed instructions, and during our stay her housekeeper Beatrice offered assistance. As a result, we had a carefree, relaxing week of ocean and pool swims, sunset walks, fine dining, sightseeing, and best of all, relaxing on the deck. The condo is a short drive away from the airport but so quiet we heard the surf. It's thoughtfully stocked with kitchen and beach gear, condiments and even hats!
I would highly recommend Nancy Palmer and her apartment !Nancy was an excellent host and always prompt with communication and responses. She even went out of her way to keep us in the loop when Hurricane Odile tore through San Jose a few months prior to our arrival (Thankfully her unit and the complex survived the storm intact).
Nancy's place was terrific: great space, lovely views directly out onto the Sea of Cortes, and nicely furnished and fully equipped with everything you'd ever need. It was truly a patch of paradise for us and several days we didn't even stir off of the outdoor deck given how wonderful it was to just hang out there.
The location is a quick drive or taxi ride to the downtown historical center where you'll find great art and great restaurants too.
You simply can't go wrong renting this apartment - you'll love it !
Great, clean, modern condo with large balcony looking out over palm trees and the beach. All the amenities you might need, incl. a washer and dryer. Nancy keeps her place in tip top shape. Would definitely stay there again. Only drawback is the number of restaurants in the area, as a lot of places are still rebuilding after the hurricane.
We had an exceptional time at Nancy's condo! Pre-travel communication with Nancy was very thorough and easy. She created a wonderful handout for guest's stay at the condo - this answered any and all of our questions. The condo is beautiful and comfortable, moments from the ocean. We spent time lounging in and around the complex's pool (which was perfect!). We really appreciated the availability of a beach umbrella and chairs for our time snorkeling at Chileno Bay. We wish our stay could have been longer. Would recommend this to any traveler and would come back if she would have us!
Just returning from a fantastic few days in Mexico. Our stay couldn't have been any more perfect. I can only concur with all the feedback already listed that the apartment is ideal in all ways, location, amenities, everything. We took the local bus everywhere and loved the adventure aspect, as well as ease of use. The bus station is right in front of the door up at the main road. Nancy is a great host, super responsive and detailed. I would highlight one thing - which has been previously noted already - and that is that the pool overlooking from the balcony you are seeing in the pics is not part of the complex of the apartment. It belongs to the resort next door. I am sure the resort changes the pool use policy ongoing. This time around we were able to use the pool for a $50 fee/day/10am-5pm. At first it seemed steep, but then we quickly realized that the "all you can eat/drink inclusive" (including alcohol!) with this offer is well worth it if you are spending a full day at the pool. The pool restaurant serves food all day and it's good. The staff at the resort is extremely nice and welcoming. We did two pool days with the package and loved it. The rest of our time we spent on the beach, swimming in the ocean. The time share complex pool belonging to the apartment was unusable only because the water was too warm, bath tub hot even, versus the resort pool which they somehow kept pleasantly cooling. Otherwise it is a nice pool as well with the complex facing inward of the buildings. I would def come back to Nancy's apartment.
Our vacation at Nancy's condo was perfect. The condo was very clean and comfortable. It's location so close to the beach was amazing. We fell asleep to the sound of the waves each night. Nancy was exceptionally accomodating, answering all of our questions promptly. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone planning to visit San Jose del Cabo.
About the Host, Nancy
Six years ago I bought my lovely condo in San Jose del Cabo. For so many reasons I prefer Mexico, and especially this area of Cabo to vacation and relax. The mature La Jolla complex is beautifully landscaped with palms, pools, fountains, and pounding surf. I am a retired middle school science teacher. I love nothing more than to look out from my deck and see grey whales breaching, sea turtles hatching directly on my beach front, or rays hovering above the water. I love walks along the beach, collecting sea glass, pieces of coral, and tiny shells. I am proud of how I have decorated and stocked my condo so that my guest would feel at home and instantly relax. I have spent my weeks in Cabo with and without a car, sometimes preferring the local means of transportation, or simply walking into town and strolling along the beach. I surfed in my day, but now take daily swims in the ocean catching waves, paddle boarding, or snorkeling. My condo has snorkel gear, ice chests, beach umbrellas, beach towels, pool noodles, a boogie board... you need not lug all of that down here. I love how easy it is for me to jump on a plane, land in under 4 hours, and be in my condo 20 minutes from leaving the airport. I hope to hear from you. I know you will love my slice of paradise. BTW, I'm the second from the left, enjoying a night out at the marina (restaurant The Container) in San Jose del Cabo with my husband and close friends.
