Authentic London experience in charming Victorian house. See how real Londoners live in one of the original Victorian planned communities designed by Roland Plumbe.
If you'd like an authentic London experience we can offer you a comfortable place to stay in Noel Park, a historic conservation area made up of Victorian terraced houses that were designed by Roland Plumb, for the "upright working man and his family." So you'll get a quiet, peaceful place to stay that is surrounded by vibrant, urban Wood Green.
The room can be configured with one single bed or two single beds-perfect for friends travelling together. The room is a small double. To use real estate parlance, it's a cozy fit for two people. (in case size is a concern -- it's regular-sized room, not a box room). It has a place to hang your clothes and under-bed luggage storage. The cost for an additional person is £10 per night.
The shared bathroom and the two toilet rooms are newly renovated and modern.
You're welcome to make yourself at home and use the rest of the house including the eat-in kitchen fitted out with a washing machine, a high spec oven, a fridge and a freezer.
Of course you'll also get free WiFi connection.
The price includes a continental breakfast. We also provide linens, towels and a hair dryer.
- Close to Alexandra Palace and park, ideal if you're attending a concert or event at the Ally Pally
- An easy tube ride from Heathrow Airport, just get on the Piccadilly line at Heathrow and off at Wood Green Station.
- 10 minute walk / 5 minute bus ride from Wood Green Station
- 12 minute tube ride to the Eurostar (Piccadilly line)
- 18 minute tube ride to Covent Garden and the West End theatre district
- 10 minutes walk to Wood Green High Street shopping centre, high street shops, main banks and cinemas, Nandos and a lot of kabab shops
- Many day and night buses towards Trafalgar Square, Camden Town, Shoreditch, Old Street, Dalston, North London, etc .
-Street parking is residents only, but if you tell me ahead of time, I can get a visitor parking permit for you for £5 per day. Parking is easy because it's permit only for residents.
We truly are conveniently located, but because we're a 10 minute walk from the station, the neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful so you'll get a decent night's sleep.
Wood Green reflects the true diversity of London, with a mix of working class and professionals, who are English, Turkish, Kurdish, Polish, South Asian and Afro-caribbean--a good representation of diversity that makes London a great place to live!
And we're not far from all the tourist attractions either. Wood Green is on the Piccadilly line that goes straight to Covent Garden and Trafalgar Square, South Kensington and all the museums and theatres around there.

Kitchen, living room, dining room, bathrooms -- all of the house except our personal bedrooms.
Moderate. We are friendly but also understand that guests need their own space. Rachella works at home at least one day a week so she will sometimes be around during the day.
Noel Park, a historic conservation area made up of Victorian terraced houses that were designed by Roland Plumb, for the "upright working man and his family." So you'll get a quiet, peaceful place to stay that is surrounded by vibrant, urban Wood Green with a busy high street for lots of shopping.
Public transport is plentiful and convenient. We're close to Wood Green Station on the Piccadilly line (underground). There's also an overland train nearby at Alexandra Palace, and buses that stop less than a block from our house. In addition to being walking distance from the high road with plentiful shopping and even more buses.
We only rent to one set of guests at a time, so you will be the only ones in the house, except for the hosts--two adults.
We have three cats. They are clean and shy so you may not see them and you certainly won't smell them. They are not allowed in the room we rent out.

Nous avons reçu un excellent accueil, la chambre était très bien,
Rachella très attentionnée.
L'emplacement est au calme et le centre de Londres est facile d'accès.
Best sleep I received on my travels. Period. Rachella was kind, and incredibly welcoming. I was so comfortable moving about her home with ease and at my own leisure. As soon as I entered her home, there was an established and mutual sense of respect that made my experience with her phenomenal. I would recommend her to other travelers.
It was the first time that I’ve chosen an ad on airbnb.
I was a bit skeptical, but stay at Rachella’s home was an experience very pleasant!!!
I stayed for 14 nights.
Rachella is an excellent hostess.
I recommend to everyone this house, very clean and with breakfast included. Very important is also the chance to share throughout the house.
Rachella’s three cats are adorable and do not disturb!
Out of all the places I've stayed in London this would be my favourite. Rachella's home is really nice and she made every effort to make me feel comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.
This was my first experience renting a private room in a residence and it was the most delightful experience. Rachella + Ted opened their home to me like family and took care of all my newbie-londoner questions! Clean, eclectic and cozy. I can't wait to return back to my new London home :) xx
This was a very comfortable, cozy, spot--perfect for the budget conscious traveler. Particularly easy for those traveling on the Piccadilly line who don't mind a walk or very short bus ride from the tube. Rachella was very warm and helpful with directions etc. Was able to wash and dry clothes which was a great bonus. Breakfast was generous. The sitting room wasn't available for use when I was there--not sure if this is always the case but I was quite happy to relax in the room itself which was very pleasant.
Thank you for the wonderful stay at your beautiful house. We appreciated your hospitality and friendliness yet we had enough privacy. Each night we got a good nights sleep in the quiet room. The kitchen is so comfortable and inviting that we spent many hours eating breakfast and dinner in there.
I think we nailed it with our first airbnb hosts.
Thanks a lot for having us!
Very confortabe and warm room. Rachella has been very friendly. The 1.5 bathroom solution at the room floor is very effective to share. All you need for breakfast is there!
Very convenient public transport connection to central London. Neighborhood full of shops and places to eat or have a drink, also with a big mall, cinema and public library.
My first airbnb stay was nice. All thanks to the lovely hosts and her lovely cats in the lovely house.
We had a great experience at Rachella's place. We stayed only 3 nights. Her house is really lovely, and the bedroom is really confortable. You have access to the kitchen, and there was some things for our breakfast at the refrigerator. Rachella is a really good person and it's always available when you need it. Her place is 10 min walking from the metro station. (Located in the Picadilly Line). I would recommend anyone to stay at Rachella'(website hidden): Trust me, the cat won't bother you. :)
