I'm a designer in NY with a spacious one bedroom apt. I will be staying in the apartment, but you will have a private room (with comfy queen size pull out sofabed). Quiet. Large closet. Large 8 drawer dresser. Wireless Internet. Cable. Air conditioner in room. Shared kitchen and bath, but very clean. Linens, towels, cooking utensils, etc. all included. Laundry in basement of building. Super on premises. High ceilings. VERY close to CENTRAL PARK... best place to run! Near museums, shopping and two blocks from subway (4/5/6 train). Great neighborhood, great restaurants (and every place delivers as well)... Fairway and other grocery stores one block away. 5th Fl. walkup, but it's totally worth it -- and that will save you from going to the gym. But, if you still want to, there is NYSC, Equinox and many other gyms within a few blocks! :-)
Room rental for ONE person only.
Hi Stacy I know you receive guests for the money I booked through airbnb because I needed a cheaper stay also so...but what I paid was close to what a night at a hotel costs and that means that at least it was meant to be clean...There was hair all over the bathroom and a dirty wet towel on the bathroom floor during all my stay that really was kind of dirty no to say disgusting...The couch really?? There were hairs of the people that slept there in the "matress"of the couch...i mean i was charged a cleaning fee??and you know u probably getting something out of this people that is paying for this stay so at leat provide a matress??my back still hurts...You were not inviting at all... and I didn't want to be ur friend at all but at least I needed you to answer the phone or my messages fast at the beggining of my trip when I couldn't travel the day I was supposed so...I felt disrespected in the way that I paid and then you started not answering right away..anyways I see you are not interested at all in being nice at the people you host so..also I hated the smell of you dark and uncomfortable place...those are my honest words...I would have preferred a lot to stay with a more open person...it's strange because being a designer you should know that inspiration comes when you have ur mind open.....u r not a new yorker.... the people I met was definitely nicer and warmer and more interested in the world surrounding them. ..try being nicer at your hosts...at least say hi with a better attitude answer their messages once they pay and like me we live a lot better than what you probably are used to so try to imagine that and buy a mattress at least to sleep on the floor.and clean the bathroom like u were supposed to.remember when u cut ur hair and left hairs all over the sink didn't you mind? Woww..who do you think I was ir why did you not respect???so into yourself???? And the stairs to the fifth floor if you take luggage to at least 10 days it will be very difficult top go up with that suitcase by itself so...the place was warm enough for winter.
I'm sorry that Maria did not find my apartment to be "clean" enough for her, but I am happy that the other 50+ guests who have stayed with me did not have that problem. I suppose I may have been a bit more friendly if she didn't arrive at my place at 4am! I was completely exhausted when she finally got here (many hours late and no phone call or email to let me know), so I think I just showed her the room and went to bed. I also did not appreciate that she brought a complete stranger (a man, nonetheless) up to my apartment because he helped her with her baggage. A strange man outside my door at 4am? I was not comfortable with that. Yes, it's a bit difficult to bring heavy bags up 5 flights, but not only do I mention that in my Airbnb ad, but I also emailed Maria about that specifically to make sure she could handle it. The pull-out sofa has also never been an issue with the previous guests... not even the very tall guys who have stayed here. Sorry it was not comfortable enough for a very very petite girl like Maria, but I can't imagine why. Maria was a bit disrespectful -- she even peeked into my bedroom in the middle of the night to see if I was there. I felt uncomfortable in my own home and ended up leaving to stay with a friend.
i had a great stay with stacy. the room is nice and big and once you put the sofa-bed back, it's like having a living room. i had a very busy few days planned, and it was nice to come back to the apartment and switch off for a bit. there are a lot of stairs to climb if you have a big suitcase like i did. stacy gave me some space in the closet and two drawers for my stuff. sharing the kitchen and bathroom was fine - luckily we were on different schedules! stacy was really friendly and let me leave my luggage for a few hours after i'd officially checked out. missing new york already!
I had a great stay at Stacey's! It was a great location, super close to Central Park and the Met and the subway was just around the corner. Stacey was a lovely hostess and the room was very comfortable. Thanks Stacey - had an amazing weekend in New York!
Great accomodation, Stacy is super nice - everything as shown on pictures :)
I got the room for a friend, this is her feedback:
"I liked to stay with Stacy. She was really nice even I have seen her only on the first and last day - because I was out almost all the time and was coming to her place just for sleeping. The fact that subway is really close was really helpful, there is no problem to come back even at late night - the area is safe. Room is quite nice, you have everything you need there. I have not used kitchen at all so can not say anything. In general, Stacy was a good host and helpful and liked to stay with her."
Spent 5 nights at the apartment and was very pleased all round. Having previously lived in the UES the apartment location was ideal as I knew the neighbourhood. Stacy was extremely welcoming, the room was clean, warm and all amenities provided....sheets, towels, toiletries, free wifi. Hardly ever saw Stacy as she was a busy lady and I was always on the go. Location ideal, anything and everything you could want on the doorstop..shopping, cinema, groceries, juice bars, spinning, gym, yoga, subway. Only a few blocks from Central Park if you fancied a walk/run. Would highly recommend & will definitely be going back. Thanks Stacy it was perfect!!
The location of Stacy's apartment is just fantastic! A few minutes away from the subway and within walking distance of plenty of restaurants, shops, and museums. The room itself is in good condition and a reasonable size. Stacy had put a list of her favorite spots in the neighborhood in the room, which was really helpful! I hardly saw her during my stay as she was working in her room, but she was very friendly during check in. The bathroom is a little bit on the small side, but for that price and that location, I'd say it is very good value for money.
It was my 1st airBnB experience, and I had a great time thanks to Stacy. She's nice and does everything to make you feel at home. The apartment is very well located, so close to shops, museums, subway... It's so easy to enjoy NYC from there!
Stacey is very friendly and kind person. She helped me with NYC`s city attractions and gave list of them. It was nice and comfortable living in her apartment. Location is great.Central park, subway, Fairway(food store) are just in two steps. I recommend living in Stacey apartment for every traveller.
My stay at the home of Stacy was great!

It is well located!
And Stacy is a great host and very friendly.
It is also a great performer, because my English is not good, and even so we could communicate. Thank you!
