Sunny room in wonderful house!
Can add a second bed to fit 4 people.
Very close to bus and train stops, cute cafes, bars, local grocery stores!
The perfect Austin getaway room! I'm a host that loves to host, so have no doubt that you'll be taken care of!
Super convenient to everything! I prefer 1 guest, with a $15 charge per night for 2 or more.
Has wifi, dishwasher, bike rental available, breakfast food provided, coffee provided!
This house is a great crash-pad to all local show venues: explore the vibrant and hip East Sixth street area, or drink and dine on Manor, a walkable strip of great cafes and fabulous restos and bars!
Bedroom with one memory foam double bed and a double mattress, storage dresser, empty closet, and fresh towels and linens!
Interaction with Guests
Friendly but minimal. Just want to make sure you have a great stay! Every amenity is provided - shampoo, conditioner, soap, hair dryer, iron, etc!
I'll likely be there to greet you and show you around (if I can be) and then I'll leave you to enjoy the house and your Austin vacation.
This is a totally walkable neigborhood, with 3 taco places, 3 bars, BBQ, 3 cafes, and much, much more all within a 15 minute walk!
Neighborhood is delightfully mixed - Posh new houses mixed with more diverse neighbors and chickens and roosters running accross the street. I love my 'hood and all neighbors are fabulous and friendly.
It's safe. I live here alone as a single woman when not renting it out, and feel as safe as can be.
Austin Daily Press is an AMAZING sandwich cafe close by on MLK at Chicon - just a 5 minute walk away. They deliver too! There's (email hidden) cafe (Bennu) with great coffee and snacks just 3 blocks away.
Also try Wet Whistle for a nice wine selection and small but great grocery store.
The East Side Cafe is a uniquely Austin restaurant that grows their own produce in a huge backyard garden - it's a 15 minute walk away, and has lots of great vegetarian options too.
If meat is more your speed you'll find satisfaction across the road from the East Side Cafe at the famous Hoover's BBQ.
There are lots of great places within a 15-minute walk from my house, and there are both bus and train stops close by that will take you into the heart of downtown in 10 minutes (depending on traffic). You can also walk to music venues downtown or on East 6th - it's about 35 minutes, but is a lovely walk!
Other Things to Note
Enjoy the room and the house!
No smoking cigs inside, no pets. That's about it! I'm pretty easy-going and flexible. I want you to have fun in Austin, and use my house carefully, but as comfortably as you'd use your own :)
Olivia was amazing as a host, and the house has a great vibe. She had all sorts of recommendations of where to go, and even offered an extra bike to use. Thanks!!!
The Teal Ranch is packed with personality. It was a feast for my eyes. There were neat trinkets and decorations everywhere. Olivia is interesting, well traveled and handy! I watched her skillfully remove wooden beams with a hammer to make room for her new washer and dryer unit. Needless to say, I was quite impressed. She was very accommodating and truly made me feel welcome. Olivia recommended a bunch of great places to check out around town. The Teal Ranch is hands down one of the coolest places I've stayed at.
Olivia's entire house was adorable! She greeted us with beers and made sure we has everything we needed. The room was comfortable, and clean! The next morning she even got us breakfast and a few other snacks. Also, we were able to do our laundry, which was extremely important since we were on a road trip and had some sweaty clothing that needed washing.
