This apartment is a large 3-room 2-bedroom apt. with a kitchen and one bathroom and a relatively large balcony; it's located in Diana Tower Bldg between Hamra Str. & Bliss Str in Beirut.
It's a luxury furnished apartment for a student or a tourist. It's a 2-minute walk from AUB (American University Of Beirut) and LAU (Lebanese American University), and a 3-minute walk from Hamra Str. It's also 10 minutes away by car from DownTown Beirut.
Amenities include Cable TV + Wireless Internet (free) with proper air conditioning/heating and electricity available 24(website hidden) is done daily in addition to changing of towels and bed sheets for no additional fee. Breakfast is also included upon your choice at an additional cost of 3$ per person per night.
The neighborhood is a quiet one since its street is an internal one with several grocery stores and mini-markets and coffee shops near by. There are also several near by places with laundry cleaning services. A small police station is also 5 blocks away (to make this area a more secure place).
House Rules are very flexible since the whole apartment is yours with one exception of no pets. Loud music is discouraged after midnight since you have neighbors close to you. Visitors are allowed any time in the day till 2 AM. The place is secure to keep your belongings, and for extra security, you can put them in a safety box for the building.
Mohamad was great - really quick to respond to messages, and sorted a taxi for us from the airport, and the apartment building (it's sort of a hotel of apartments) has a reception desk so picking up a key was very easy.
The apartment itself is well located, nice and easy to walk around the city, and a good size, with a balcony where you can see the sea. The apartment is relatively basicaly furnished/ Although it sort of has a little kitchen there are not things like cups or plates, so you wouldnt really be able to cook. Bathroom is fine, though could probably do with a bit of a refresh sometime soon!
Mohamad also drove us to the airport very early the morning we left, which was super kind of him!
This flat is clean, well located and decently furnished - although it should be made clear that it is a hotel suite and not an apartment.
Mohamad was a fantastic host right from the beginning. He responded quickly, arranged transportation for me and all my friends (we were not a small group) and was very hospitable. The rooms were nice. Diana Tower is a budget hotel, but a nice one in a very safe part of town. The front desk staff were great, the breakfast was included with the room and was very filling. Everyone in my group had a comfortable stay the whole time.
This is not an apartment it is actually a 2 star hotel. Which was really dissappointing as we already eliminated Diana Tower Hotel during our search. They uploaded different images to airbnb and that was the main reason we fall for this trick. The room was dirty, very small and two of the beds were literally in a U shape and impossible to sleep on.
If you are looking for an apartment this is definately not the place for you!
Check various travel sites and see the reviews of this hotel before booking it via airbnb.
We had an enjoyable stay in this apartment which is well located for the bars and nightlife on Hamra Street. The apartment is part of a hotel and we found the staff helpful with any questions we had. It also gets cleaned daily during your stay which is good. Would recommend it as a place to stay for a weekend in Beirut.
