The Great Western Greenway, is the longest off-road walking and cycling trail in Ireland. It meanders between Westport town and Achill Island and visits the picturesque villages of Newport and Mulranny (Mallaranny). It passes by some of the West of Ireland’s most dramatic mountains and offers magnificent views of Clew Bay and its many islands.
Aoife was an excellent host - very friendly and communicative. She was an absolute pleasure. The place was exactly what our group wanted and an excellent stay in beautiful Westport. Do not hesitate to book!
If you are looking for a nice and simple getaway then this suits the brief. Phil, Aoife's husband met us on arrival and showed us the place. All living is upstairs and the bedrooms downstairs. The place is located down in the harbour area which is a decent walk into town but that wasn't an issue for us.
We couldn't fault this place except for the wifi. This may not affect some but for our travel group this was a must and unfortunately the service was poor. We only received adequate wifi until we went into the centre of town. A house manual would be a welcome addition.
Thanks for an easy stay.
Aoife is a great host, made sure that our stay was pleasant and that we had everything we needed.
Her place is lovely, cozy and welcoming, and truth be told, the photos don't do it justice.
Next time we're in Westport, we'll know where to stay.
I just recently started at this apartment with my family for 2 nights. We had a very enjoyable stay. Everything was perfect. The kids loved the apartment and decided to call it "home". Aoife was an excellent host and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She even left fresh bread, milk eggs and bacon. The apartment was spotless and a fantastic location. Thank you Aoife!
I was in Westport for one night for a wedding this March, and our group had a fantastic stay in Aoife's two bedroom apartment. The apartment was cozy and had everything we needed and is a short walk from the center of town. Great value.
Aoife was flexible with our check-in and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend.
