About this listing
Trastevere is the most "Roman" part of Rome.
The apartment is in the heart of Trastevere, right next to Piazza della Scala and behind Piazza Trilussa.
Despite its location in one of the most colorful and lively areas of Rome, the apartment is quiet because it is tucked away inside the courtyard of a historic palazzo. After a day of walking to visit museums and monuments, you can relax in the little garden, filled with lots of potted plants (and an artwork or two).
During the day, walking towards one of Rome’s best outdoor markets, only a few minutes away, you’re more like to cross real Romans instead of tourists along the neighborhood’s distinctive cobble stoned streets. And at night, Trastevere becomes the heart of Roman living. There are dozens of outdoor restaurants, pizzerias and wine bars to choose from. Or you can just stroll along the winding alleys, eating gelato —it is a very happy place.
Feature of apartment: one large bedroom, living room with sofa which could be converted into a double bed, kitchen with stove, microwave oven, coffee maker, hot water maker, bathroom with tub and shower. Build-in AC and heater in both bedroom and living room. A large courtyard. Washer/dryer in “storage” room along courtyard. WI-FI internet connection.
Smoking is not allowed in the house.
the apartment is 55 square meters plus 30 square meters courtyard
Wow - what a wonderful apartment! Our 6 days in Rome was bliss. Roberto is absolutely fantastic, friendly and charming. Key handover was seamless, Roberto was waiting for us at the apartment when we arrived. The apartment itself is very spacious, yet still keeps a cute 'homey' atmosphere. The bed is comfortable, and the air conditioning works wonderfully if you visit in Summer (we only needed to turn it on for a short time then the apartment was instantly cooled). The washing machine worked well, which is perfect for a long stay in Rome.
Roberto's communication with with us was great, he was always available if we needed him for anything at all. The area is fantastic as well. Very trendy, safe enough to stroll around at night, and with lots of fantastic restaurants nearby favoured by locals (but far enough away from the busy tourist centre of Rome).
Location is great too. We bought a single bus ticket to Roberto's apartment, then walked everywhere else (Vatican City / Roman Forum / Colosseum etc). We will definitely be staying here again when we return to Rome. Highly recommend.
Roberto's place is in a really great neighbourhood in Rome, close to many restaurants and night life activities. The apartment is great for a couple to stay, even though the bathroom is a little small. The interior patio is a real plus, a great place to hang out when it's warm outside. Roberto was very available during our stay. I would warmly recommend to stay at his place for a few days in Rome.
Trastevere, Roman home with garden was an oasis of calm in busy Rome. Very comfortable and quiet and the garden was an absolute pleasure. Trastevere is a wonderful part of Rome and Roberto was very welcoming and helpful, recommending some great local places. Thanks Roberto, hopefully we can return one day. Ciao, David & Rosalind
Brilliant place to stay in Rome! Trastevere is a great neighbourhood especially for those foodies out there. And 1 minute walk away is the foot bridge across the river and you're into the heart of Rome.
Roberto's place is wonderful. Perfect for your Rome stay. So quiet inside but you also have the little courtyard. It is a perfect place to return to after a day out in Rome for a drink before hitting the local bars and restaurants in Trastevere. The pizza place across from the front door is also delicious but the lines get huge it is so popular so do some take away! It is only literally 2 metres from the front door!!
Roberto did a lot to make us feel welcome. We had a couple issues that we needed help with, and Roberto helped us out quickly - it was very appreciated. The apartment is in a great neighborhood. So many great restaurants around and easy access to the rest of the city. Except for the shower being a bit small, this was a perfect experience.
Great location, nice apartment. Roberto was very helpful during our entire stay. We arrived late and he was there to welcome us, also we had a late departure and we could stay in the apartment until departure. We had some issues with the hot water and wifi and he was quick to respond and fix the problem. The apartment is great for summer time when the weather allows for you to be outdoor all day. It is a bit humid but we didn't think it was a problem. All in all we would definitely recommend this place to others going to Rome.
We LOVED our stay in this quiet, clean apartment with the fabulous patio! Yes, it's in an old building (isn't that part of the charm of staying in Rome?), but it's safe and secure and we slept with the doors wide open. While the Trastevere street parties were raging just a few feet away, we were undisturbed in the comfy bed looking out on the patio and surrounding rooftops. We loved sitting in our private patio having a glass of wine or enjoying our coffee in the morning. It is a VERY convenient location just across from the pedestrian bridge so we could walk and get a fresh pomegranate juice at the Campo di Fiori. Roberto was very helpful and friendly and we would definitely stay here again!
