This comfortable and modern town house is situated in the heart of Clifden Town, an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful Connemara. Secure carpark. Great choice of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance.
Our town house is bang in the town centre. We are in a lovely courtyard, very quiet and private, yet surrounded by shops, pubs and restaurants.
All four bedrooms have their own private bathrooms.
Bright and spacious living area.
Secure car park is remote controlled inside security gates. Most guests only use their cars during the day, to discover the vast beauty of Connemara, while in the evening they explore the towns attractions on foot, as everything is so near...

The house was perfect for us. Bang in the center of town and secure underground parking. The house was tastefully decorated with everything that you need - plenty of spare towels, pillows etc.
The house is well furnished and very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Hugh was the perfect host and had some nice treats waiting for us on arrival along with the basic requirements until we had time to get to the shops.
Clifden itself is the perfect base for exploring Connemara and has plenty of great restaurants, pubs and cafes.
Would highly recommend
Location is perfect, right in centre of Clifden but due to it being in a courtyard it is very quite. There is a secure garage for parking which is ideal as it's very difficult to find parking. The house is clean and has all the mod-cons you'll need. Overall it was a good choice for us with a young family.
We arrived in Clifden mid afternoon on the Friday of a bank holiday weekend, a friend of Hugh's greeted us, gave us the keys and the tour of the property and its facilities which included secure underground parking. We were left to our own devices then and had an opportunity to settle in. The property was exactly as described and more besides. It was well maintained and spotless. Anything you would need or look for when trying to live as at home while away from home was there and more besides. It meant great comfort when travelling with a toddler and a baby. In addition, there was a welcome pack there for us on arrival, truly a lovely touch when you could murder a tea or coffee after a long journey. The property is right slap bang in the centre of Clifden, while you are only 50 yards away from the two main thoroughfares, there were no noise issues. Occasionally Hugh touched base with us to ensure that we had all we needed. The property is exactly as described, if you are interested in booking, you wont feel shortchanged. There was so much to do and enjoy in Clifden on a sunny August bank holiday weekend when the rest of the country was being washed out of it with rain, horse racing on the beach at Omey island, the Sky Road, Kylemore Abbey and much, much more. There were lots of nice places to eat and drink, a special word of thanks to Hugh for allowing us to use his name in Guys bar with Shane who is the owner there, it ensured that 5 adults a 2 year old and a 3 month old with a buggy were facilitated with a table in a busy restaurant on two separate occasions over a bank holiday weekend, remarkable. By the way, the lemon sole and the tempura prawns in Guy's bar are the best since way back when. Many thanks to Hugh, we hope to be back again in 2015.
Dear Kate,Gerard and family..... Wow ! Many thanks for those kind words.... It was our pleasure having you as guests in The Courtyard Townhouse.... and its great to keep Shane at full tilt....Guys Bar.
We hope you will return, and you can be sure of a warm welcome.... Hugh.
We, as a family spent 10 days in Connemara and have chosen Hugh's house in Clifden. This was a very smart choice.
Clifden is very well placed to visit the Connemara (walks nearby, sky road, lakes, beaches, Abbey...)
The house is in the center of the town, so very close to the shops, but however very calm.
All the confort and space is provided, we particularly appreciated the large livingroom and kitchen (very well equiped) designed and furnished with good taste.
In Clifden, we've been at Guy's pub : free wifi, music, nice people. and had our breakfast at Walsh bakery (free wifi as well)
We strongly recommend this place, Hugh is the nicest host ever!
