City Chic is a modern split-level penthouse apartment with two bedrooms, both with bathrooms en-suite. It is located on the top floor of an Art Deco building in central Cape Town ("City Bowl" or "Down town") and offers sweeping and uninterrupted views of Table Mountain and Lions Head, Parliament, old Slave Lodge, St George’s Cathedral and Company Gardens. It has been awarded the highest rating for self catering accommodation from the Tourism Council (4 stars).
It is within easy walking distance of major attractions and the CTICC. Other nearby attractions include the Table Mountain Cableway and V&A Waterfront, as well as restaurants, street markets (Greenmarket Square and St. George's Mall), antique shops, art deco architecture, museums and night-life. (Visit famous Long Street for buzzing night-life and entertainment). The cape wine lands are within easy driving distance.
High quality grocery shopping is available and is within easy walking distance of the apartment.
This stunning, non-smoking, apartment is fully equipped to cater for 4 people. The main bedroom upstairs has 2 single beds, which may be joined together on request. The 2nd bedroom downstairs also has 2 single beds, with both bedrooms being en-suite.
The main living area opens out onto the balcony.
The lounge area offers a comfortable leather sofa and chairs with HD LCD satellite TV.
The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/drier combo and breakfast bar.
The table and chairs for 4 people can easily be moved out onto the balcony for al fresco dining or just for sundowners while watching the sunset behind Table Mountain and Lion’s Head.
There is full security (24 hr concierge), lift/elevator, air-conditioning/heating, Fibre Optic Internet access, free secure undercover designated parking for one vehicle (height restriction: 2 metres) and use of swimming pool and gym (which we share with Adderley Terraces next door).
Taxis are easily available just outside the building, or catch the open top red bus (hop on/off), or the new My Citi bus (bus-stop outside Groote Kerk 106-107) to and from the V & A waterfront (2kms), Clifton beaches and Camp's Bay. Car Hire is available at the airport or in the city itself, with most of the major companies represented.
We arrange airport transfers on request.
The apartment is serviced weekly on lets of +7 days.
Minimum stay 7 days between between 22 December -2 January.
ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING is allowed inside the apartment.
A separate contract will be emailed to you after reservation (nothing lengthy) requesting a copy of your passport, contactable cell no: and estimated arrival/departures times. The access code for the apartment will be email approx 7-10 days before arrival.
If using the French Press, please do not put the coffee grounds down the sink.
We provide coloured towels for use at the pool/gym area. Please do not use the white bathroom towels.
Out of hours arrival/departure: please indicate your expected arrival/departure times. We try to be flexible where possible subject to our arrival/departure and cleaning schedule. Please vacate the apartment by the agreed time (this is clearly indicated on your access code),
Please park in allocated parking bay "I"(Letter I)17 (there is also a sign with the apartment number) otherwise you risk your wheels being clamped and it will cost R300 to un-clamp.
The entrance to the building is in Church Square, 32 Parliament Street. The vehicle entrance is a little further down the road.
This is the main "Mez" bedroom with sun stream skylights. Single beds, kingsize headboard means that beds can be pushed together or used separately.

We never met Mike and Liliane, but they were very helpful on the phone when we had troubles getting in (turned out we came earlier than expected and the lock was time coded)
Appartment cleaning crew did not show up in time before our visit, so it was messy when we arrived, but Mike and Liliane arranged getting it cleaned from remote while we enjoyed CapeTown, so after that it was all fine.
Having a protected parking space connected to the appartement is great in this location, but plan at least 5 min extra to enter and leave the parking garage, it is a lot of levels ... :-)
Gorgeous Penthouse, with spectacular views of Table Mountain. So centrally located we didn't need a hire car. Walking distance to restaurants and the Hop on hop off bus, takes you everywhere. The Penthouse had everything we could possibly need to compliment our wonderful stay in Cape Town. Liliane was extremely helpful and responded quickly and efficiently to all requests. We would definitely use Greg and Liliane's place again.
Mike and Liliane were fantastic hosts! They answered all of our questions before our stay and promptly followed up on any questions while we were in Cape Town. City Chic was an amazing location, right in the middle of everything! It was an easy walk to many sites, or a quick uber ride away. We loved the deck and enjoyed the views of table mountain. I highly recommend city chic!
We spent 3 nights at this wonderful, spacious, clean appartment with a stunning view from the balcony.
Mike and Liliane answered promptly all our questions via text-messages and the information in the house about the environment was very complete!
I absolutely will recommand this appartment to my friends when they want to visit Capetown.

From the moment we booked this apartment we received good communication and information from Mike and Liliane. The apartment was spotlessly clean when we arrived, in a safe and secure building and a great location within in the City. The apartment was well equipped, comfortable and a pleasure to stay in. The photographs do not do it justice. If we are lucky enough to return to Cape Town in the future I would without doubt stay here again. Thank you from Julie and Jonathan.
Liliane kept in touch by email and phone., very responsive. Wonderful view, very clean and spacious, comfortable beds.
Had a little problem with broken locks when I first arrived, but that eventually got resolved. The apartment is spacious and located well. The views are as described and worth the price.

About the Host, Mike & Liliane
We are a married couple, with 2 grown-up sons, living on 2 hectares on the highveld with 6 rotties, a staffie and 2 biewer terriers. Mike, a retired electronics engineer, owns and runs a boarding kennel and I (Liliane) am a full-time accountant. Friends and family keep asking us when we are going to retire! Probably never!
We have traveled quite a bit and also lived overseas in various places. Self catering is usually our first choice of accommodation when on holiday.
We, and the family, (unfortunately not the dogs) use our apartments in Cape Town when we can both,for business and holidays. Cape Town remains one of our favourite cities
