Swann Street is an exclusive, quiet, residential street in the heart of Dupont Circle. Our neighbors love the relaxed and quiet atmosphere of the street where everyone knows each other.
We are two blocks away from the High Heel Race in November and our block holds an annual Halloween street party for local children. We are also three blocks from the Capital Pride parade route in June.
There are hundreds of restaurants, shops and transportation options within a 4-block radius of the apartment.
* Dupont Circle Metro Station (red line): 4 blocks
* Bus stop: 2 blocks
* Capital Bikeshare station: 1 block, 2 more nearby
Other Things to Note
We have one parking spot available in the back of the building for an additional $15 per day.
We do not allow smoking or parties in the unit.
Please be respectful of our neighbors when coming in and out during late night hours.
We arrived in DC and Johnny met us at the apartment, it is gorgeous, in a beautiful quiet street with everything you could want. The apartment had everything we needed, tiny bedroom but with a comfy Queen bed and plenty of space with two rooms and kitchen. Very well set up with tourist info and great local restaurant suggestions, we got to three of them, Annie's good for steak or burgers open 24 hours, Mandu - excellent Korean and Lauriol, great Mexican! We did not have contact with Johnny after we arrived but he was so welcoming and gave us so much info when we arrived we didn't need him. We did feel we could have contacted him without it being a problem if we had needed to. Thanks so much Laura and Johnny we loved our DC visit!
Laura and Johnny were very welcoming, helpful and patient hosts. Our arrival was delayed by several hours, and they simply took it in stride. The location of the apartment is very convenient, there is parking behind the building that you can purchase for $15/night. Parking is terrible in DC so this is a must do. The apartment was one of the cleanest that I have ever seen, the bathroom is very tiny, but adequate. My husband loved the flat screen TV, and I loved being able to get into our car and get errands done in preparation for a wedding. There is a Trader Joe's just around the corner with underground parking, so this was important for me as I was responsible for doing the flower arrangements for the rehearsal celebration. There are many restaurants within walking distance from the apartment. The building is secure, the apartment is on the first floor, but is not wheelchair accessible due to a few steps that have to be used to get from parking or the front road to get to the apartment. There is a washer and dryer on a lower floor. The bath, though adequate, is very tiny. It works OK for one person at a time in the bath and there is a mirrored medicine cabinet to store personal care items. Cell phone and WiFi service are great. It is on a quiet street (well quiet for DC) and there is a little table and two outside chairs on the porch facing the road where we had lunch a couple of times. The apartment tends to be a little dark, but this can be improved by raising the blinds or shades. I would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting DC who need to get to DuPont Circle or Lafayette Square in a reasonably efficient way.
This apartment is gorgeous! I felt like I was in a posh hotel. Johnny was great with communication considering that I booked just two hours before I arrived. His responses were quick and friendly and his introduction to the apartment and how things worked was great. You have everything you need here and everything is clean, tidy and modern. The room is quiet and has AC. The neighbourhood is safe and easy to get around. I found plenty of nice restaurants and bars around the area and felt very safe walking around at night. I would definitely recommend this place. It's a steal at the price for the location and the quality of the stay.
Laura and Johnny are the best! They became dear, wonderful friends in such a short time. They prepared the unit with flowers, photos, and champagne for our honeymoon stay.
The location is fabulous - a short walk to Metro and restaurants. It fronts a nice quiet street locale. The unit was clean and well decorated. Laura and Johnny were always available for assistance and their recommendations were spot on.
We'd return anytime.
Such a cute and comfy space! Laura & Johnny are great hosts- very accommodating and easily accessible. Such a great neighborhood as well. Definitely plan to return :)
Laura and Johnny were great the whole time! Very accommodating for our arrival and when we checked in they had a binder full of maps and brochures for anything you could want to do! Johnny was great and gave us directions to the monuments, metro, and restaurants. The description was perfect, the apartment was exactly what we needed. All the amenities listed were available and the location was great. And when we wanted to keep our car a little past check out they were super great and let us hang around a bit for brunch. All in all we had a great time and would highly recommend this property ( or any Laura and Johnny property) to anyone.
Thank you Laura and Johnny for our fantastic stay in DC. The apartment was wonderful and very clean. You were both very welcoming and accommodating. I will absolutely recommend this apartment for anyone looking to stay in a great neighborhood in DC.

About the Host, Laura And Johnny
Johnny has lived in DC most of his life and Laura has been in the city for 7 years. We love DC and our neighborhood and want our guests to leave feeling the same way!
We both love to ride our bicycles almost everywhere, even in the winter. DC is a great place to learn to ride in a city, with its comprehensive network of bike lanes and a strong local cycling culture. Make sure to ask Johnny for tips on where to rent and ride in DC.
Great Korean and amazing sojutinis. Their brunch is also a nice change of pace
