The Space

I have a charming little house in Kennington (5mins walk from tube) with a spare double bedroom. This place is a real home from home.
A lovely bright and airy double bedroom, with double windows and sunshine in the morning. Double bed, spacious fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers, armchair. The bathroom has a bath, shower, WC, basin, and is tiled on both floor and walls. The house itself has been decorated to a very high standard and has a warm welcoming feel. Clean, modern kitchen, separate living room/dining room with flat screen TV/DVD, wireless Internet, Beautiful wooden floors throughout. Nice patio garden (with trees, squirrels, birds) with BBQ and sun lounger.
The road is very quiet (and traffic free) and ideally located in Zone 1 for transport links.
Leafy Kennington has a great range of pubs, theatre, cafes and parks. It's where most of the politicians live as its very close to Parliament.
Central London - 12 mins on the tube.

Also very close Tate Modern, Tate Britain, Tower Bridge, Oval Cricket Ground, The Globe, The Hayward Gallery & The National Theatre.

  • We had a really great stay with Imogen. She was an great host, gave us lots of recommendations for restaurants around the area and even made some phone calls for us as we were looking for some fancy dress for a New Years party.

Had a lot fun in London! Thank Imogen!

  • Lovely three week stay with Imogen in her comfortable and friendly home. Very relaxing place to live during a busy work period with convenient shops & good pubs nearby and Kennington tube station only a couple of minutes walk away. Thanks to Imogen, Baris & the pussycat Milu for making me feel so welcome.

  • Imogen was very helpful from the start allowing me to leave my bag at her home before my actual check in when I was going away beforehand briefly to another part of Britain for a conference. Her home itself is warm and inviting. The bedroom is warm, bright, with a comfortable bed and had loads of wardrobe space for you belongings. The bathroom had everything you need and a great shower. The kitchen was bright and sunny as well and the lounge was comfy to eat and relax in. Imogen gave a lot of attention to detail to making her house feel like a home and inside you feel very much like you are staying in a home as opposed to the blank space of a hotel which is a great feature for making you feel quickly situated. The location is brilliant for getting into central London via the Northern line and just a six minute walk from the house. Imogen was always very friendly, helpful and informative and responded very quickly to any requests I had. She and I both had a very busy period while I was staying with her and time flew, but whenever I was with her I enjoyed her company and her upbeat attitude. Her partner Baris who sometimes there is also very friendly. Her cat Milu very sweet and affectionate so no worries there about sharing with a pet. I would definitely recommend staying here.

  • It was a great time in the house of Imogen. It's lovely and very cosy. It was the first Airbnb booking and it was very good. We met Imogen once and she was very friedly and kind.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed 6,5 weeks at Imo's house this summer. From day 1, Imo was friendly and welcomed us in her house. Her warm and nice heart made our trip special. We felt like home and Imo always provided us with cool insights.
Her cat Milo was adorable and we really miss her already. :)

The house is located in Zone 2, near Kennington station (just a 5min walk). With the Northern Line it is really fast to reach the city.
The house is neat, tiny (but that's totally UK standard) and you are able to relax after a long day of shopping. The kitchen is well equipped, the little back patio is nice and the room in the 1st floor is neatly furnished. We shared a bathroom, but this was never a problem.
We had our own key and felt secure in the neighborhood. The neighbors are just as friendly as Imo.
Imo is fun and she was a really good host!

Thank you for our unforgettable summer!! For our Summer School trip it was just the perfect choice!

  • I loved staying at Imogen's, it was my first Airbnb experience and it was great. The room is fab, all the home comforts you could possibly need. Imogen is really friendly and happy to give you advice on the local area. If she wasn't constantly booked up, I would be booking again when I next work in London!

  • I had a wonderful experience living at Imogen's place. The room looks just the same as the pictures. Imogen had everything so well organised that it made me feel like at home. The place is about 5 min walk to the Kennington tube station, with an enjoyable view along the road. The neighborhood is quite safe, I had two experiences walking back home after midnight, and there was no problem at all. The friendly neighbor, the even more friendly cat Milu, and the lovely garden just made my staying more colorful.

  • Imogen was very welcoming, and as soon as I asked went out of her way to give me a great list of things I could do and see in London. She is friendly and interesting, as are her friends. All were happy to chat about all manner of things over wine in the evenings. My trip to London was definitely more interesting (in the good way) for having stayed here.

i am lucky enough to be a creative type with a very creative job. This takes up most of my time but when i can i like to watch films, listen to radio shows, read the newspaper and a good novel. I like walking in the park, i like nature and birds, i like exhibitions, good food and hanging out with my friends and relaxing with my cat. I enjoy escaping London for the countryside every now and again (I am originally from Oxfordshire). I have travelled a lot - mainly in Europe - but also India, Sri Lanka, America, Cuba, Columbia and i lived in Africa for a year when I was 20. I get to travel with my work sometimes which is great fun. As a host i would offer a warm welcome and plenty of advice for having a good time in this fabulous city that is London. Beyond that I would like my guests to have the space and peace to enjoy their time in the way they please.
