London Zone1 DBL Rm Charming House

House - Private room · Westcott Rd, Kennington, England SE17 3QY, United Kingdom

The Space

I have a charming little house in Kennington (5mins walk from tube) with a spare double bedroom. This place is a real home from home.
A lovely bright and airy double bedroom, with double windows and sunshine in the morning. Double bed, spacious fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers, armchair. The bathroom has a bath, shower, WC, basin, and is tiled on both floor and walls. The house itself has been decorated to a very high standard and has a warm welcoming feel. Clean, modern kitchen, separate living room/dining room with flat screen TV/DVD, wireless Internet, Beautiful wooden floors throughout. Nice patio garden (with trees, squirrels, birds) with BBQ and sun lounger.
The road is very quiet (and traffic free) and ideally located in Zone 1 for transport links.
Leafy Kennington has a great range of pubs, theatre, cafes and parks. It's where most of the politicians live as its very close to Parliament.
Central London - 12 mins on the tube.
Southbank & River Thames - 15 mins walk
Also very close Tate Modern, Tate Britain, Tower Bridge, Oval Cricket Ground, The Globe, The Hayward Gallery & The National Theatre.

  • Staying at Imogen's place was easily the best decision my friend and I made on our trip to London. Apart from being an adorable and comfortable flat in an amazing location, they were the most perfect hosts we could have hoped for.

The location is perfect -- a nice, quiet neighborhood and a short walk to the Kennington Tube station that will take you anywhere you need to go, with a 24hour Tesco nearby in case you need anything. It was great to have the feeling of "coming home" to a great flat after a long day out and about exploring London.

Imogen went above and beyond to make us feel at home while we were there. Great conversations, great recommendations for where to go, great outings around the city, and just really awesome people overall.

Staying here was really the cherry on top of an amazing London experience. I'd absolutely stay here again.

Plus, Milu is probably the most adorable cat in all of the UK.

  • We really enjoyed to stay at Imogen's and Baris' (and Milu, of course) place. We liked the house, the red wine and the perfect wodka-ale! Imogen gave us some advices about art's stuff and markets, Baris about music and pubs. They are really kind and they immediately understood what we wanted to see in London.

  • My first AirBnB experience and it couldn't have been better. One purpose of my trip was to get a look around Kennington as there's a chance I might move there, based on this Imogen saw to it that I got a tour of Kennington...the nice places to live, the park and local pubs (which included winning a few prizes at the pub quiz!) She was always very keen to make sure I was getting the most out of my stay.
The house is a very warm and welcoming place with a very easy going cat. There's plenty of wardrobe space if you're staying for a while and an easy chair in the bedroom if you want time to yourself.
    I can't recommend Imogen's house enough.

  • Our stay with Imogen was fab, perfect for our needs on our last-minute trip to London. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, and the area is great -- leafy and calm, the Kennington tube stop is just a few minutes' walk, and the Northern Line covers most of the city. But it's Imogen herself that made it a great stay; she's funny, generous, and laid-back. We'd definitely stay again.

  • Imogen is a great host with a cute cat and recommendable for longer stays as well. Imogen knows a lot of good places in London and she was always happy to give me some hints, where to go – so if you would like to explore new things, just ask her.
The house itself is in a quiet district, but well connected to the tube and the city. A small 24h Tesco and a cash machine are only a few minutes’ walk away. A cab ride from the city centre to the house is about 20 Pounds.

  • We had a great time staying with Imogen in her cute flat. Imogen is very friendly and helpful in recommending nearby restaurants, pubs, and attractions. The room was small, but comfortable, with lots of closet space. Imogen did a great job making us feel at home (and even provided a hairdryer!). The flat is very central, about a 40 minute leisurely walk to the Southbank, and near a tube station connecting you to the city.

  • The stay at Imogen was absolutely great! I enjoyed staying at Imogen's house, she is a great host, very helpful, friendly and interesting person to chat. I felt welcomed all the time.

The house is well located, and there were a few stocks near the house to buy food. The wifi is very fast :)

If I ever come back to London, I will come back to Imogen's house!

  • We came to see London from Moscow, Russia. It was a fabulous time and Imogen has really done her best to make us feel as at home - so we did. She is a wonderful host.
Very close to the center, I guess it is 20 minutes walk to Big Ben. The tube is a few minutes walk.
The next time we'll do our best to return to Charming house. The only thing we worry about if it would not be reserved ))

  • We had a really great stay with Imogen. She was an great host, gave us lots of recommendations for restaurants around the area and even made some phone calls for us as we were looking for some fancy dress for a New Years party.

Had a lot fun in London! Thank Imogen!

i am lucky enough to be a creative type with a very creative job. This takes up most of my time but when i can i like to watch films, listen to radio shows, read the newspaper and a good novel. I like walking in the park, i like nature and birds, i like exhibitions, good food and hanging out with my friends and relaxing with my cat. I enjoy escaping London for the countryside every now and again (I am originally from Oxfordshire). I have travelled a lot - mainly in Europe - but also India, Sri Lanka, America, Cuba, Columbia and i lived in Africa for a year when I was 20. I get to travel with my work sometimes which is great fun. As a host i would offer a warm welcome and plenty of advice for having a good time in this fabulous city that is London. Beyond that I would like my guests to have the space and peace to enjoy their time in the way they please.
