"Chiang Mai" is usually viewed upon as a city full of Art and Culture that is refined and complex, but rarely has people been able to discover the other appealing side of this capital of the north.
We are talking about the more simple lifestyle of the "Northern country folks" who spend their lives on the outskirts amongst trees and nature, with their humble beliefs and honest crafts.
"Baan Noi Norn Muan" is a place that will pass on the stories of these down to earth families found around the outlying districts of Chiang Mai through plain folklores told on wooden porches. These stories, inhabiting various corners as pieces of unique crafts made by local artisans or "Sala", are neither too complicated nor too brute, they take form as each "Sala" contributes their creativity and experiences, making them surprising and unexpected.

One of the worst place I stayed across Thailand. I was in phuket and Bangkok before around the same price and they were decent and worth the price but unlike this , first of all the reception was v bad the staff never speaks english and he seems he wasn't expecting guests. the place looks ok from outside and inside but not like what's shown in the pictures! The room was so dirty that the bed sheets were not changed and there was liquid spots everywhere the bed till I ask the lady to remove it and put my own. Moreover spider webs where at every corner and ants. At night there are weird animal sounds coming from outside and lizards coming in and going out through the door and window hole. My wife was scared the whole time we spend their at nights , this place literally ruined our honeymoon. And the place is never worthed the priced.
Came back and stayed an extra three nights here because it was such a pleasant experience. Kind and courteous host, great guest houses and a quiet environment just a short drive from the city.
Very nice guest house. Lovely clean and cool room with lovely deck area. Unfort no one spoke any English so we were very much on our own to figure out how to get around which would have been helpful as it is situated about a 30 min walk from the city center. A very pleasant stay none the less.
