About This Listing
We are offering a very spacious London flat with a private room a short walk from Brick Lane and the Shoreditch area. The flat is always quiet and relaxed. We have a fully equipped kitchen and gated car park on the premise.
Private room in very spacious flat (~70^2 m). There is a double bed (a 'real' bed as AirBnB call it!). The occupancy is ideal for 1 or 2 people. Singles and couples are both welcome. The price is for the room, not per person.
The living room is very spacious and comfortable. A large doors open out on to the balcony; on the other side, it open-plans into the kitchen. We have two barstools to sit and eat from the kitchens island countertop. Alternatively, there is a large six person dining table to eat or possibly work at. In the living room, there is a comfy couch, and a low footstool that we use as a chair.
You will be sharing the flat with my flatmate Lerby or myself. We are both researchers at the London School of Economics, and as a result are constantly out of the country working. That being said, one of us will ALWAYS be around and will be very happy to give you advice and suggestions for getting around London and places to visit. You will NOT be sharing with any other guests.
Interaction with Guests
MEET & GREET
Normally, one of us can come to the station and walk you to the flat, especially if it is late at night, or if you have a poor sense of direction (!), or if you are a lone female arriving at night, or if you have a lot of luggage. Let me know beforehand. Else we can just wait for you in the flat!
The flat is located in Whitechapel. It is a diverse neighbourhood with many ethnic restaurants and shops. More recently, many cool pubs, hamburger joints and gastropubs have been popping up! We are about 15 minutes walk to the heart of shoreditch if you head west, or about the same distance to the beautiful Victoria Park if you head north.
The location is very nice if you are travelling through the City Airport, which is quite close: 15 minutes by taxi or 30 minutes by public transport. We are about a 5-minute walk to the tube stop, so the other airports are not difficult to travel to either.
Trains: We are 5 minutes walk to Whitechapel Station that connects to the District Line and the Hammersmith & City Line. Both of these lines will take you right into the city centre.
If you are partying late in central London late and the Tube trains are closed for the night, you can always catch any number of buses back to the flat. Which one depends on where you are, but we will be very happy to help you out with that!

Kyle wasn't there, as mentioned in descriptions. Therefore Lerby took care of us. We had a great communication over the phone. So we were able to check in easily. The flat is exactly as you can see on the pictures. It is also very close to Whitechapel station, which is just 2 stops away from Liverppol street, a main underground station.
Lerby himself is very nice and we had a good conversation.
Me and me BFF spent a long weekend at Kyle &Lerby's place. Although we had a busy schedule and had little time to bond, we had a great time. Kyle was out of town but Lerby, his room mate took care of the logistics so it was super easy for us to find our way to the apartmen. Great location, 2tube stops from Tower station and even in close walking distance, the place is nice ,cozy and has a great bed for resting after a long day of walk. Stores and pubs are in the area so it is clearly a good location. Lerby was very nice and accomodated our requests and gave tips for places to see in London. Clearly a great option.
Sandra and me arrived in the evening of October 31 to Kyle's place. He was not there but his flatmate Lerby welcomed us warmly and explained everything in the flat and directed us to the room where Kyle prepared everything. The flat is nice, clean and warm - in fantastic neigbourhood. We had a wonderful time there even we was so short (we left already on November the first). Lerby was a great host and we spend a few hours talking about almost everything upon arrival.
We stayed at Kyle's home two days.
The flat is located in a quiet and nice neighborhood near whitewchapel metro station, and was quite clean.
Kyle was out during out stay, but he was very nice and welcoming when we arrived.
We had a small room and fresh towel for for us.
Good stay for a good price!
The flat was absolutely quiet and pleasant which was really helpful as I was in London for a professional exam and needed time to relax and do some reading. I don't think there's anything that isn't accessible; shops, restraunts and transportation. The flat is situated in a superb location. Above all that, Lerby (Kyle's flat mate) who hosted me was fantastic. He showed and told me everything I needed to know. He was really pleasant. I will definitely stay at the same place when I go to London again. Thank you guys.
