  • My family and I just enjoyed a superb experience during the week we stayed in Liscannor Bay Home. It proved to be all that we had hoped for and dreamed about. The location of the house on Liscannor Bay is spectacular, with a ruined castle next door and Lahinch visible across the bay. We were 12 at times during the week and the bedrooms are spacious and nicely furnished with comfortable beds and duvets. The 4 bathrooms accommodated us all very well. I loved seeing the sea from my bed upon waking and read on the roof terrace outside while the fishing boats departed on their daily mission. The living space is remarkable, plenty of comfortable seating with a porch-like extension. There are books and games and a flat-screen TV. The weather was so amazing for the entire week that we never watched TV because we spent our days and evenings on the patio whenever we were not out exploring County Clare. The wooden dining table on the patio served the twelve of us very well and we enjoyed sharing our day's experiences as dusk fell each evening. We cooked on the gas grill every day, except when we ordered fish & chips from down the road on one occasion. Grocery shopping in Ennistymon was satisfactory and the kitchen was well equipped. Even when we all congregated in the kitchen - dining area there was plenty of room for everyone.
As for the location of Liscannor Bay Home, it is perfect where access to the Cliffs of Moher, Ballyvaughan, Doolin, Lisdoonvarna and other interesting places and attractions is concerned. Doolin was further away than we expected but we did shop there and took the ferry to Inishmore, which is well worth doing. Surfing is great, golf readily accessible, hiking a pleasure and the scenery so beautiful. My family of 3 generations are unanimous in their verdict that it was a "perfect holiday" and I am so glad that I came across Liscannor Bay Home on airbnb where the heading "sleeps 12" first caught my eye. Julie Lynch was a terrific host who went out of her way to respond to inquiries before our arrival, prepared a list of information which was invaluable, had the house prepared for us and welcomed us warmly.

I am a homemaker married to William who has recently retired. We like to travel and look forward and spending more time doing so now that William has retired. We particularly love the west coast of Ireland and traveling through France.
