Cabin accommodates 6 adults comfortably. There is a private bedroom, semi-private loft (upstairs), and sleeper sofa. The living area has a wood-burning fireplace, games & movies, and fully stocked kitchen. The bathroom has a shower, sink, toilet, and basic grooming necessities. Cabin is on a forested acre with fire pit and river access, and is close to the best outdoor recreation: hiking, fishing, skiing, and sightseeing!

The space
Uncommon Bear Cabin is "uncommon" because it is a rare combination of rustic, off-the-grid charm... without actually going off-the-grid or giving up your creature comforts! The property is native forestland bordered by a river, offering plenty of opportunities to wander through the trees and dip your toes in the water just steps outside the front door. The cabin is campy and cozy, and has everything you need to unwind after a day of hiking or stay in and cook a feast. We even have WiFi (though the signal can be weak/inconsistent at times, just let us know if you're having issues!)

The Cabin is perfectly located just a short drive (or long walk) to Packwood's main street, or a short drive to White Pass Ski and trails within Mt Rainier National Park. The mountains are calling!

The cabin is located in a woodsy neighborhood that has a quiet, small-town vibe. Most of the other homes are also cabins on large lots surrounded by trees.
Packwood is a small town with all of the basic necessities you will need, including a grocery store, several restaurants and shops, and a brewery. The major attractions of the area are Mt. Rainier National Park, Pinchot-Gifford National Park, and White Pass Ski Resort. From the cabin, the town of Packwood is 3 miles/7 minute drive, Ohanapecosh entrance to Mt Rainier is 14 miles/22 minute drive, and White Pass is 23 miles/30 minute drive.
