This is a really nice neighborhood, located in a canyon at the base the Santa Barbara foothills with lots of greenery and wildlife around. The back garden has a sundeck and a patio with picnic table where you can enjoy the tranquility and sun.
We have lived 25 years in Santa Barbara, and have extensive knowledge of the metropolitan and surrounding area. We have had travelers from all over the world stay with us, as well as traveled ourselves to over 40 countries. We look forward to welcoming you and recommending you the best adventures here on the beautiful California Central Coast.
The back garden has various seating areas for enjoying a cup of tea or coffee. If mandarins are in season, please feel free to pick some.

Interaction with Guests
We try to gauge how much interaction our guests are interested in via the initial correspondence or upon arrival as everyone have different needs in this aspect. We always make ourselves available via Email and Text, if we can mobile phone as well, that way if guests prefer a quick text instead of a face-to-face conversation; they have us attending them just as well.
Our neighborhood is backed up to Tuckers Grove Park and the foothills and brings us an abundance of wildlife in the gardens. Our garden is most California Natives and Bee/Butterfly friendly and we have lots of birds coming to our Birdbaths and plants. The neighborhood is quiet and safe to walk in.
We have plenty of parking on the street in front of the house. Taxi ride from SBA airport cost about $15-$20 depending on time of day.
Though there are some infrequent buses from Cathedral Oaks road, we recommend renting a car to get around in Santa Barbara or California in general.
1. Please be respectful of our home. We have worked hard to create a unique and beautiful space for our guests and want to maintain it in good condition for future guests. Please come and go as you please but be mindful that you are sharing the house with others if entering late or leaving early in the morning.
2.Should you need it: Laundry is $5 per load including soap, and dryer use. Please ask for assistance.

Have a fantastic time!
We couldn't have hoped for a more welcoming visit. Christina and Goeff have a lovely home and our room was inviting and immaculate. They clearly provided all of the house information, so we felt as though we knew the place before our arrival. We also greatly appreciate that they didn't mind us arriving late at night, after difficult Memorial Day traffic. I would not hesitate to recommend their home or to stay again on a future visit to Santa Barbara. Maybe next time we'll have the opportunity to stay longer and better know our hosts.
I was out a lot and didn't get to meet the hosts but the place was very nice and clean! Room was a good size, the hosts provided hot water and tea & coffee which was very nice. I have AT&T and there was no cell service but I got by with just wifi. Overall, a good experience.
Hosts were very friendly, asking us about our day and suggesting places we might wish to go. Check-in/check-out was made trivially easy, and we were given a key so we could come and go as we pleased without worry. The room was comfortable and clean, and the home's location was only a short drive away from anything we wanted to check out.
Christina was such a lovely host :) we loved stayed at this house and chatting away about past travel adventures. The house itself is in a perfect location for exploring the local area. It's super clean and cosy and decorated tastefully, with bits and bobs from all over the world. Thank you for a great experience :)
"Romantic room in quiet SB" was the perfect first Airbnb experience! I wanted to show my girlfriend my beloved Santa Barbara five years since I left it after graduating, and this was the perfect spot (the fact that it was just off San Marcos Road, and that is one of my favorite streets because it leads all the way up to Painted Cave was a good omen). Between Goleta and Upper State, and just a couple minutes from In N Out this is the PERFECT location. The room was also perfect for our Valentine's Weekend getaway. They offer tea and coffee, fresh Mandarin oranges from their trees, clean shared bathroom, and even fridge space! I definitely recommend! Thanks guys!
