Welcome to my listing:

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BOOK WITHOUT ME APPROVING YOU. I WILL DECLINE IT AND GIVE PRIORITY TO OTHER POTENTIAL GUESTS.

This spacious private room lets you relax away from the noise of Manhattan while still being in Manhattan without the outrageous cost of Manhattan. We are a very friendly and helpful home. We will give you a key, provide you with fresh clean towels and linens, and help you with any questions you have about the city and getting around. You can come and go as you please. We have lots of restaurants that delivers all kinds of cuisines at all hours of the day and night. But you will also have access to our kitchen if you feel like cooking. We have a dinning room table that seats 10 and a place for two in the kitchen. But feel free to hide away in your room and eat in there. Just please clean up after yourself.

The 1 train is less than a block away from the apartment and you can actually see the subway station from the living room window. 20 minutes to Times Square.

We have a really friendly Alaskan Husky, who isn't allowed in your room, but it would help if you weren't allergic to dogs.

There is a 50" plasma where you could watch movies that plays movies from an external hard drive. So if you are staying for a while don't forget to load your favorite movies and music on one.

There is NO SMOKING in the actual room but feel free to go on the fire escape and close the window behind you. Please be respectful of other guests and neighbors by:
Cleaning up after yourself
Not playing music too loud after 12am
Taking the Garbage out on your way out
Not smoking in the stairwell

Welcome to NEW YORK we hope you enjoy your stay

  • I stayed 20 days in this room. Everything was clean. The roomates are very nice and respectful. The subway is at 5min. I recommend this room.

  • I spent a week here (05/26 -06/01) The room was as advertised and although Chris was away, he was always available by email/text to resolve any queries and gave me advice on where to go in NYC.

Mina and Naku was great hosts and also very helpful :)

I felt safe walking around the area late at night.

  • Chris place was great. Two blocks from metro station, nice coffee shop a block away, great atmosphere in the house. Friendly people.
They made us feel comfortable right away.
Great place to stay in New York.
    Very recomended!

  • Christopher is a really easy-going guy and very accommodating to our group of four and has a very gorgeous dog. His place is a very short walk to the nearest subway station which is convenient. There is a laundromat and a couple of food places nearby. We enjoyed our stay there and would definitely recommend anyone who is looking for reasonably cheap accommodation in NYC to stay at Christopher's.

  • My friends and I had a great stay at Christopher's apartment. It's conveniently located next to the red line which runs roughly down the west side of manhattan, making it easy to get to many of New Yorks attractions. The apartment itself is nice and comfy with lots of space. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Christopher in person as he was away during our stay, but he kept in touch via text to make sure we arrived okay and had everything we needed. His flat mates were kind, friendly and helpful to.

  • Chris and Co. helped with the luggage and immediately welcomed us in. Keys, a brief touch on house rules and greetings were exchanged. Naku, the loveable Husky, was a gem. Chris is very laid back, the environment is lax and neighborhood quiet. One may assume an unfamiliar stay may cause uncomfortableness, but, I assure all that Chris & Co's natural passivity makes for a most comfortable environment. Reservation: approved.

  • Great stay, love clean room and bathroom, VERY spacious apartment and Chris was a great host, very relaxed and helpful with check in/check out and finding the apt (he met me downtown and travelled up together). A minute away from the 1 downtown line, making it good for getting places. Would highly recommend, very comfortable.
