The Space

SXSW, ACL, Formula 1, FunFunFun Fest, Texas Monthly BBQ Festival, LiveFast Tattoo Convention... events are the name of the game at this rental.

What more could you want than to be walking distance from all the Austin fun but still tucked away with a view of the creek? You really can walk just about anywhere. You want conference sessions, 1.5 miles. You want 6th Street madness, .5 miles. You want East side hipster goodness, 2 miles. You want South Congress food carts and coffee, 1 mile. You're just a stroll from it all.

Amenities include: AC, wifi, grills, a parking space (negotiable), bus from the airport is $1 and drops you 2 blocks away!

This one bedroom apartment in downtown Austin is tucked right on to the creek bed with a 25 foot balcony overlooking a wooded brook. Go out partying all night and then relax in the hammock on the porch all morning.

The bedroom has a brand-spanking-new queen sized bed and there's a queen sized blow-up mattress to boot. If you fought for it, you could sleep 2 in the bed, 2 on the blow up and one on the full length couch.

The kitchen is stocked with more bad ass appliances than you could want for on a trip. Whip up anything from cheesecakes to casseroles to wheat bread loaves. The refridgerator contents are yours to enjoy, if you wish; this includes a 6-er of Lonestar Tall Boys to start your Austin experience off right.

This area is just about the one place in Austin where you can actually take public transit to most of the main attractions. The bus stop on the corner is a main travel resource for the City of Austin offices across the street; so they've made it a priority for all sorts of busses to stop there.

Looking for something else in this oasis in the middle of the party, just ask and I can make it happen.

WELL BEHAVED pets welcome under 50lbs if crated while Mom/Dad are out having fun.

Check In
  • Awesome apartment that is right in the center of everything. We were able to go just about everywhere on foot or by bike, from SoCo to Barton Springs, to Rainier street, everything was just so accessible from here. Jane was very accommodating and gave us the perfect amount of privacy and help when we needed it. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

  • Jane was so hospitable, flexible, and friendly.... plus, the place was great! Lots of room, great balcony, and a very convenient walk to downtown / 6th street area. Highly recommend.

  • We had a great stay at Jane's place. The location was fantastic and the apartment was very comfortable. Jane was super friendly and helpful, easy to communicate with, and exceedingly accommodating when we ran into some unforeseen complications on our last day in Austin. We will definitely stay with her again next time we are in town!

  • Jane was a great communicator and coordinator, and her apartment was a great place to stay near enough to downtown to walk (with a valuable parking spot!) and has a lovely view of the adjacent creek to relax with a beer to. Also extremely convenient Whataburger access for ex-patriate Texans who may be jonesing for a breakfast taquito.

  • My colleague and I stayed with Jane as our first AirBNB experience this past week during SXSW. Jane was responsive, accommodating, and even left us a 6 pack of LONE STAR brews to kick off our trip. Place is close and quaint, 15 min stroll across bridge to downtown.

Jane left us two sets of towels, and sets of keys as well. Her neighbors were extremely friendly as well and who doesn't love a walkable Whataburger next door!

  • Jane was helpful, making sure that we got in all right and had everything we needed. The apartment itself was super convenient to both downtown hotels where friends were staying for a wedding, bars on both East and Dirty Sixth, and all the fun food and locations of South First and Congress. We didn't, but we probably could have easily walked to Barton Springs.

  • A nicely decorated older-style apartment, in a quiet location. Easy to reach from the airport by bus or cab. Getting downtown is a pleasant stroll. Jane was very helpful and flexible with arrangements for my arrival and departure, and in providing practical advice. I enjoyed my stay.
